Re: Buttons Access Denied
As someone who plays CE often, I'm not sure this is a mistake. Considering how many MTs I've had hit the core eject because they're spamming click on everything, I'd rather make it so that MTs have to suit up and go in and avoid overcharging the core.

...I don't find a reason for the Engineers having to get up from their desk and fire the emitters, while the button exists.Mac wrote:As someone who plays CE often, I'm not sure this is a mistake. I care not for the Core Eject, I care for the other buttons on the table.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
Again I think it's more of the OOC issue of Baldie McChucklefuck trying to press every button to see what it does and possibly overcharging the sm. I would argue that blast door access is okay, but I still think the emitter should have to be turned on manually to prevent the incompetent and/or curious from making this worse. The SM already blows or gets ejected too frequently despite being ridiculously simple to setup and maintain. From an IC perspective one can argue that it's for safety precautions that only an authorized engineer can do it remotely.UnknownMurder wrote: ...I don't find a reason for the Engineers having to get up from their desk and fire the emitters, while the button exists.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
Honestly I'd agree with Mac. Can we call this intentional?

....Sighs...With a reasonable argument against me which I have no answers...
Sure, I guess this is considered not a bug which Infernus presumed to be in-game after my reporting/finding. Most of MY presumed bugs gets shot down as usual or I have no sense of it.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
It very well may be a bug and unintentional, but we haven't had a staff member comment on it. I'm just giving my side of it from experience. Most bugs are bugs, some are intentionally as they are for a reason.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
I wasn't designing engineering, so I have no idea if it was or not intentional.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
From my perspective, if any button accesses are changed make it so the blast door button is MT accessible. But when you can't even see the shutter doors from the monitoring room I would hesitate to allow remote charging.

Re: Buttons Access Denied
If baldos could use those buttons, and they try every round, there would be a lot more sad supermatter crystals.
