Make Squad Eng/Med Jumpsuits Armored

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Marines currently get their jumpsuits from the ColMarTech vendors or lockers. Squad Engineers or Squad Medics can also wear the standard USCM uniform OR vend engineer/medic jumpsuit from their vendors in their own prep rooms. Currently it is my understanding these jumpsuits lack the armor that USCM uniform has, I suggest armor values are changed so these do have armor and protect the Squad Engineers/Squad medics the same amount as other marines.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): This will allow medics and engineers to wear their respective jumpsuits without fear of further weakening themselves, on top of how they are already targeted more and the engineer's lack of armored gloves as well.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): This would allow squadmates to more easily identify their squad engineer/squad medic rather than just the backpack icon, since you can only see that when facing away. Also I feel it would help increase RP in making the squad medic/squad engineer role feel a little more specialized without having to change any balances or add in new code/sprites.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Copy and paste current armor/resists values for USCM uniforms to Squad Engineer and Squad Medic jumpsuits that come out of their vendors. More advanced would be to retain the extra electrical resistance of engineer jumpsuit and biological resistance of medic jumpsuit.


For clarity sake the 2 vendors in the prep area are the ColMarTech Medic Vendor and the ColMarTech Engineer Vendor:

+1. I don't always play a grunt, but when I do, I'm a medic or engineer. This is the first time the armor differences came to light and as such, there is no reason for support personnel on the ground to be weaker than the main fighting force. I mean, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense when it comes down to FoB defense.

I don't really understand having different jumpsuits for medic and engineer. Dietrich and Hudson (the squad's medic and engineer respectively) wore the same BDU as the rest of the grunts.

How did you come to the conclusion that they're unarmored?

Hmm the original jumpsuits lacked any description/flavor text for the item mentioning any armor whatsoever, compared to every other jumpsuit that has armor like even the sec officer jumpsuit on the planet.

However it looks like the jumpsuits have already been in changed at least in the squad medic vendor to be a kludge called "Marine jumpsuit(medic)"

Here's the description on the current jumpsuit:

This is a  Marine jumpsuit(medic). It is a normal-sized item.
A standard quilted Colonial Marine jumpsuit. Weaved with armored plates to protect against low-caliber rounds and light impacts. Has medical markings. 
Here's the standard uniform jumpsuit:

This is a  USCM Uniform. It is a normal-sized item.
The issue uniform for the USCM forces. It is weaved with light kevlar plates that protect against light impacts and light-caliber rounds.

So it looks like this change was already put into place but with a uniform that has white on the edge instead of being white all over.

At this point I don't expect anymore sprite changes for it, since it's not like jumpsuits can be seen that well under armor, I would suggest though that it be renamed to USCM Medic Uniform or USCM Medic Jumpsuit, just a little fix for consistency with RP/other jumpsuits instead of having something look like it's been labeled with a hand labeler.

Seems to me you didn't do your research before making this suggestion. It's been weeks since this was changed, and the armor values of the engineer/medic jumpsuits and the regular marine jumpsuits are the same.
