Persh Aggley

Post by WyattH » 25 Dec 2015, 07:42

Their character name: Persh Aggley

Their Byond key: Halinder

Approximate time and date of the incident (Central US Time for fastest results): 3AM CST

What rule(s) were broken: Rule 6 Powergaming Rule 8 Metagaming

Description of the incident: Multiple incidents, each explained shortly above the log for it.

LOOC: Gunso: more meta, noice
Persh Aggley (follow) says, "Well, I stabbed them both in the face and nothing."

3) As a runner using an electrified grill to kill Isaac for metagrudge as well as power/meta gaming since it isn't something a runner would do

Code: Select all

ÿPersh Aggley was shocked by the the grille!
Hivemind, Runner (63) (follow) hisses, 'Just forced a host's face onto an electrified rod.'
4) The marines went north across the river upon arrival without even checking out the nexus for survivors (their main purpose in being sent)

5) minor - I don't have logs of it but I believe they 'Chasing down Xenos immediately after first contact.' because there was one dead really fast after they crossed the river - but again not certain someone else would have to log check

How you would punish the accused: At least a note due to how many times meta/powergaming was violated within one round since he knew he could get away with it with no admins online and didn't expect anyone to post a player report for it.

Point one was for the sake of fucking about since my character ICly demonstrated that he thought it was a joke mission, and that monkey was never infected anyway.

Point two is a lie, I saw facehuggers on both of them and slashed their heads, each, ONCE. You're embellishing. I told you this much in LOOC and you cut it out to make it appear malicious.

Point three is I watched a sentinel get electrocuted first before doing this. You're, again, embellishing.

Point four -- I wasn't the one who led us up there, and we were following a trail of facehugged monkeys and dead marines/Mya Miller.

Point five, we found a drone, SADAR'd it, dead. First contact rules are no longer a thing, remember?

EDIT: Scratch that last part of point four, actually, we were only following facehugged monkeys. Dead marines and Mya Miller came after.

I'm not here to argue back and forth in a thread, just post the information I have for an admin to judge. Although I do feel the need to post this directly from our rules.

No Metagaming:- Acting upon knowledge your character does not have.
Examples of metagaming:
  • Welding vents before seeing the Xenos use them.
Equipping hardsuit helmets and other face protection before knowing about facehuggers.
Setting up defenses on the Sulaco before the Queen sends/receives drop pods/shuttles for the first time. (Note: there will be a big alarm when the queen uses the shuttle consoles.)
Chasing down Xenos immediately after first contact.
Doctors performing surgery without first determining what's really wrong with an infected patient.
Suicide before having a good reason to do it, such as seeing a fellow marine's chest bursting.
As a Xeno: damaging the Sulaco engine to prevent setup.

Didn't chase it. Found it. Stayed within the same screen as when we found out -- literally walked five steps to get a better firing angle. Shot it. Moved on with life.

In regards to the "going north immediately", uh. We didn't actually get a briefing. So. Yeah. Plus what Halinder already pointed out, but. We went back pretty quickly, too; didn't even see resin. Won't comment on the rest because the rest isn't really my business.

My first memorable interaction with Persh Aggley was in a prison station round where he as a survivor stunned me, dragged me to a hidden room. Even as I tried to engage in rp with him, asking what he wanted, why he was doing this, explaining that I was one of the marines sent here to rescue his group from the creatures outside, his only response was to near-wordlessly stab me in the eyes with a screwdriver, then gun me down with my rifle.

The reason? A marine had gunned down one of the survivors. That marine was executed for killing the survivor. He then 'announced' that a room on the prison was his, though not on a radio, or where anyone really heard. The only thing I had done to him in that round was stumble into this area, rifle on my back and not even out. His response was to wordlessly stun and proceed to murder.

He has done this so many times that a metagrudge against survivors is building amongst marines, where marine players are treating survivors as 'antagonists', since he uses the 'survivors are classified antagonists' to kill everyone at the drop of a hat.

I only kill marines when they injure or murder survivors. That marine wasn't executed by marines -- WE had to kill him, us survivors. I also didn't "near-wordlessly" kill you, in fact I gave a healthy monologue as to why you were going to die whilst cuffing and dragging you, filled with proper dosages of paranoia and resent.

If you have a problem with that, please feel free to make a player report. This isn't where it belongs, especially considering that:

1. This is about a completely different round.
2. This is about completely different reasons.
3. This is about me when I was a marine, not a survivor.
4. You're attempting to make me look bad as a person in general rather than present any evidence against me for the actual occasion, and you're doing so using personal bias and embellishments such as suggesting that the marine forces (not some, but just 'marines' in general) are suddenly angry and wanting to kill survivors.
5. And if you've been stalking me, which I'm sure you haven't, you'll be happy to know that the last time I killed a marine was fire-axing an infected man in the head when he was halfway to larval bursting.

Moving on, are there any admins that could pass judgment on this specific case?

Until you started this 'kill all marines' hunt lately, I always heard of marines wanting to rescue the survivors.

Now I hear half of the marines wanting to just smoke the survivors for the thinnest excuses, in a 'get them before they get us' mentality.

And the post has everything to do with you. I don't believe it needs a separate report, as it is supporting character witness to your thinly veiled excuse to murderbone that you call 'roleplay'

I'm.. really not sure you know what this post is about. You're calling me about based on failRP and murderbone, but uh..

...this is a report about apparent metagame and powergame.

Sorry, you are correct. I had meant to post it in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=5007 Which is about recent survivor behavior.
