"Yes, Bill? I'm trying to type this combat report to HQ. Weyland wants us to put more guys to defend the outer rim, but we need more funding from above to do so. Only can do so much with a large-ass galaxy and five ships."
"U-uh, sir?"
"Yes Bill? Just tell me, I don't have all day."
"We've been hacked again from an unknown source. We're trying to track it, but they keep on corrupting our data base here at HQ despite our firewalls. Here, this one's one of the few mostly intact ones."

Notable Traits:
Is permitted by the USMC Head Chief Medical Officer Daniella Winfrey to possess the EyeCore 2000 series, which includes a HUD and a retinal scanner to save images for later use. Due to usually being a casualty in missions when not commanding, he is enrolled in the New Age™ program, which is a Weyland-Yutani enterprise that specializes in reversing cloning degeneration. Managed to garner several promotions before being 30 years old, making him one of the youngest captains in the fleet.
Persona:
Flexible, informal, quick thinker (especially when given just enough intel and reaction time). Possesses a tendency to have a cool head, except while under the influence or under pressure by internal or external threats.
History:
• April 14, 2140: Hired by the United States Colonial Marines as a Quartermaster on the space station USS Veracity, under the discretion of 1st Lieutenant Marshall White.

• July 14, 2141: Detained for ten minutes due to possession of illegal narcotics. 100g of modified and colorized methamphetamines has been confiscated from his person.

• March 5, 2143: Promoted to Sergeant after demonstrating leadership skills through a successful defense of the Veracity, after several consecutive boardings from multiple pirate and terrorist organizations in recent weeks.

• October 14, 2147: Promoted to 1st Lieutenant upon the discretion of Captain Marshall White, as commendation for continued service aboard the USS Veracity in the face of several threats to the corps and its interests.
• August 1, 2148: Promoted to Captain of the USS Veracity as a result of irreparable losses to the ship’s command structure, as a result of a successful raid by the terrorist group The Black Hawks.
• January 21, 2149: Transferred to the USS Sulaco to replace its former commander, Dill Waite, after being repaired following a super-matter core detonation, killing most of the crew and the former commander.

Basic Appearance:
Brown skin, possesses a black goatee and standard black hair. Is authorized to possess EyeCore 2000 robotic eyes, which typically are manufactured with red irises, despite customization options.
Likes:
Perceived competency in general, alcohol (typically seen with cocktails such as “Syndicate Bombs” and “Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters”), narcotics, being victorious in all conflicts. Is a fan of war and battles, as well as defending against threats with sentries and other defense-based weapons. May need to be under watch for symptoms of “Space Blood-Lust Disorder” (SBLD), due to having a tendency to participate in battles even while commanding.
Dislikes:
Typically zero tolerance for incompetence (especially due to personal or external mistakes, from observation), his opponents/hostiles (e.g. terrorists), extraterrestrials (including Space Carp and other mutants), detainment without just cause.
Strengths:
Plenty of combat and leadership experience due to years of consecutive service. Due to working as multiple roles within his several years in the USMC (Marine, Engineer, Squad Medic, etc.), he is also knowledgeable in breaching, supply lines, hacking, building, defense, support, marksmanship, and cooking. Possesses basic training (including CPR + first aid) and specialized training (mech usage/maintenance, special weapons license, etc.). Is open to opinions, encourages individuality and cooperation, and typically can lead as effectively as one possibly could, given the circumstances. Hard worker, learns from mistakes, appears to never give up until the bitter end or if it may waste resources for himself and others.
Weaknesses:
Cloning degeneration, despite the efforts of Weyland-Yutani, has progressively crippled his reaction times, awareness, and general knowledge. Thus currently, his effectiveness appears to be apparently tied with the amount of intel he receives, the competency and independence of his troops, and his supply lines. If any of those are threatened or nullified, his command quality drops drastically (though it has measurably improved recently in lieu of this). Is a semi-prolific cigar and alcohol addict, usually drinking and smoking even on-mission, despite any legal attempts to restrain his habits. When pressed, ambushed, or reckless (typically due to overconfidence or common usage of stimulants/depressants), tends to garner a high personal casualty rate towards his personal well-being and others. Is noted to be one of the most prolific cloner users in his entire platoon as a result when in the field, and is thus banned from using them unless if either in a medical role, or in extreme circumstances due to our cost overruns in synthflesh as a result (he may still receive care from them, but is discouraged from “going Rambo”). Is not certified for advanced engineering (e.g. atmospherics, general super-matter core setup), and is banned from doing advanced medical surgery unless in a supervised medical role (especially after his very destructive stunt with a phoron bomb and the researcher Jim “Twitch” Sanders, however effective it was). Typically collapses in command efficacy with the collapse of squad coherency or massive materiel/personnel losses, though it is evident that he attempts to compensate through a plethora of tactics to rectify this (e.g. establishing unified squads, field commanders). Any changes to his status as a result of our frequent job allocations require at least three days to be formalized due to backlog.

"I swear, it's not me this time-"
*One of the console screens light up, revealing a launched distress beacon at LV-624*
"Well, shit. Here, just talk to the IT guys about it while I send a ship to this place. Try and get an actual anti-virus this time, aight? No "McHonker's Pro" this time, alright?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Come on, Charles. I put a lot of money on you. You can do this."
