I believe this is a side affect from the increased bullet damage that was made to harm xenos more
Solution:
Don't get shot

I could be wrong since I haven't played the server in a while, but unless they made giant changes to the medical code while I was gone, the only reason you die in 20 seconds or so after passing out from FF is by internal bleeding.
You know what stops internal bleeding?
Quick-clot.
It was literally put in for the sole purpose of stopping those pesky little bleeders, thanks to an attacking Xeno's claws (or FF) normally causing ruptures and the like. You won't die twenty seconds after passing out from a popped lung. So, the ideal solution here is to not get shot, but we all know that Friendly Fire is just as much a part of this server as Aliens and Facerape Crabs. So the other, somewhat opportunistic solution would be to find a Medic who knows what the hell he's doing.
Or start equipping all the marines with a single autoinjector of Quick-clot.
Maybe give all marines a standard Self-Help First-aid box with some bandages, ointment, and a thing of Quick-clot.
Hmm...

This happened to me. This is a feature, I'm sure.

I'm testing this, it's not intended. There's a "chance" it might be related to shrapnel.

This has been fixed by Abby, but will roll out with projectile update. I'll leave this in bugs forum until the update so someone doesn't dupe it.
