Age:17

Gender: male

How would you define yourself? (Coder, Mapper, Spriter): Mapper

If Coder, what languages?

Any previous experience developing with SS13? Yes, i have developed slightly for paradise, done some mapping, spriting, and minor coding.

Proof of any previous or current work:
new armory.PNG
was trying to change up the paradise armory, gave up because of the amount of merge conflicts caused by other PR's

for reference here's the current paradise armory:

How well do you know Git? I can make PR's, fork branches, and update them.

Your primary job is server development, not policing the server. You may be given Moderator-level of access but you should *not* be invoking any administrative actions unless there are no moderators or Admins online. Do you understand? (Yes/No) yes

Any other examples of maps you've made? Hard to fully judge from the example you provided

I'm not much of a mapper myself, but I'd be interested in seeing any interesting designs you could think of.

That's not bad. Windows should be on a plating tile, followed by a grill. You also shouldn't place vents/scrubbers on top of existing pipes. And as far as pipe networks go, you should have both the air loop and scrub loop running through doors, then branching out when needed. Don't run pipes through walls if you can help it. Windows are okay. The same goes for the power line. It should run either adjacent to, or on top of the pipe network.

thanks for the tips. the windows are on a plating, and they dont show grilles because they are window spawners not the actual windows.

Looks good. \\N shared some good tips for you, you should use them for your next test if you are still up for it.

Test I
Make a new map of a broken, abandoned space ship. A bridge, main hallway, cargo pod, sleeper room, canteen/toilets and miniature engine room (SMES units and engines on the outer hull).
Make sure you put as much details as you can to make it look abandoned. It doesn't have to be big, hell, you can even put all of that on one screen if you manage to miniaturize the room, just make sure you fit all of the areas above in it.

Test II
Underground dormitory area.
10 dorms connected with a single hall which is connected with another invisible area (Just put a door at the end)
each of those 9 dorm should be a minimum 4*4 area (Don't make me see 10 4*4 boxes... Curve them if you want) with everything one man could need (Folders, filling cabinet, laptop)(Research oriented). The last, 10th dorm should be larger and richer than the rest, Research director is staying in this one. In that hallway, a toilet area must also be connected.

Test III
Surprise me.
Make something you can't see every day. Can be a situation, one special room, few connected ones, a map design, anything.

You can post your work whenever you finish one of the test, or all of them at once. Just make sure that what you post is finished. Feel free to ask any questions if you don't understand or need an better explanation. Good luck!
