Joining as alien larva in the "join game" instead of ghosting

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): DO NOTICE THAT THIS IS FOR PEOPLE THAT OPENED THE CLIENT AND DIDN'T SPAWNED/GHOSTED YET. If I want to join directly as a alien larva from the lobby menu I'll have to ghost and wait some time until I can join as a larva. This system is confusing and makes a lot of people turn off from playing ayylium, making the alien numbers small. Yes, I know that "you have only to ghost to join" but that's not something that someone would know from the first time and even that you know the ghost->join ayylium system, you something get desinterested to play as alien because of the work.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): More alien players so we can have harder fights and bigger numbers, yes, i know that we are going to have more newbies playing aliens, something that could make them not follow the rules and/or are just bad. But frankly, nobody starts good and if you aren't following the rules you can always banhammer them

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Everytime we have some SSD larvas like in this image a "Alien larva" job would appear on this menu [spoilers][/spoilers] so people could immediatly start as aliens.

HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE A MARINE THAT DIED AND GHOSTED OR A BRUSTED MARINE YOU WOULD USE THE CURRENT SYSTEM

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): I don't think this is BYOND impossible

Sure. If we can late join as marines using the join game were certainly able to join as aliens too.

This eliminates the 5-minute wait.

And not JUST for newbies. For late-joining regular Alien players like myself. Though you seem to assume that only newbies would be playing Alien. Despite this, you make a valid case and it's going to be helpful if it's implemented. If you want harder fights, then make us faster and stronger. Not necessarily bullet sponges. Shortening evolve and burst times doesn't work. Hm. this is for another suggestion, however.

So much +1 this. It's a bummer that late join aliens have to deal with waiting potentially five minutes (it used to be 10) until they can be a larva. Maybe make SSD larva not gain evolution (like how ssd aliens don't get royal jelly gains) That way, it's not an instant t1.

-1. I dont know if this hasnt been implemented because it was used to prevent "green" players from jumping into the aliens and suiciding. If it is, then thats a good design point and i would stick by it. It's important that the marines face competent threats, and having even a small 5 minute wait period helps gate the entry for dedicated players only.

Hiding the ability to join as larva behind ghosting than another 5 minute wait while a marine player can join instantly isn't balanced at all
