Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):just thought i would post this again since the last time revived so much blind hate and immediatly got shot down, what i'me suggesting is a change for eggs, thrown, or on floor facehuggers to have a chance to be killed when attempting to get you

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):reduces carrier squad wipes and shifts xeno power from facehugger spam to themselves somewhat.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):random xeno/carrier throws facehugger/egg opens (20/30% chance perhaps more) marine shoots facehugger out of the air/marine impails the facehugger with the spear/bayonet/knife or marine bats the facehugger away with a crowbar/bat/???(stunning and launching it away), i'me not talking about making it impossible to facehug someone, or make them incapable to drop one on the ground or plop one on your face or run up to you and do the same, i'me talking about a nerf to ones on the floor, and ones thrown at you by carriers,

what i want is for people to have a fighting chance against flying facehuggers.

Well, there is already a counter to ones on the floor, bullets and flamers, and grenades. And for Carriers, specialists can easly take them down. If you would only give marines a buff it would not be too smart, but if xenos acctualy became stronger at the same time, than such a feature would be acceptable. The balances need to be there.

NONONONONONONO.

What you are suggesting. is a direct NERF to CARRIERS. IN WHAT WAY DOES THIS SHIFT OUR POWER TO OURSELVES SOMEWHAT?

This is a direct nerf to carriers and facehuggers. the Aliens have already had some nerfs. leave 'em be. -1.

This is pretty badass, but it's still just RNG. And marines don't really have the reflexes to pull this off. Carriers are cheesy, but I think there may be a better way to balance them.

As someone who plays Carrier a lot, they could honestly do with a nerf. But I don't think this would be a good way to nerf Carriers. -1

yeah this is a direct nerf to carriers ,which does actually need a nerf, you'll and guess what, eggs, and what else? xenos dropping huggers/throwing them next to marines when they shouldn't be doing that. you'll still get all your freaking pounce + hugger moments and still be able to run up and place them on marines faces

xenos are already the most powerful side currently, and could use a nerf, this shifts power from the carrier/egg/under item facehugger spam I've been seeing a lot recently to the xenos themselves.

by giving a small chance to kill thrown/egg/floor huggers this nerfs carriers which turns them from an unbalanced squad wiping machine, into something balanced, the nerf of this, shifts power from facehugger fields(somewhat, facehugger fields would still be stronk)and carriers, and xenos who shouldn't be throwing facehuggers in the first place

The throwing facehuggers feature is there (Apop CONFIRMED this.) for when marines are using their SUPERIOR SPEED to DANCE AROUND THE XENOMORPH IN QUESTION.

Marines EXTERMINATE any eggs and/or facehuggers on the ground. Always. I've seen this happen every SINGLE time without fail.

The entire ROLE of carriers is to THROW FACEHUGGERS. Which, FYI has a long cooldown. Carriers are VERY EASY to kill during that cooldown period, or if you have a working helmet. Unless you're, I dunno, TURTLING and won't chase after it, then it will run out of sight, wait until the cooldown is over, and conk you on the head with another.

The carrier THRIVES off of MARINE LAZINESS. End the laziness, and this nerf is not needed. (Plus, may I add that facehuggers in the lore and in the game know when anything near them is moving and will attack it ASAP. so even if the carrier DID miss it would just go on the floor and climb up to the face by itself. Facehuggers are living creatures HELL BENT on infecting, it wouldn't be too far off the mark to say they would adjust their tradjectory with their tail so that they actually hit the mark or close by so that it can crawl over to the mouth.

And even if it didn't, it would still just jump onto the host it missed. It's a facehugger. They are not traps with motion sensors. They can move around and sense things.
