Doctors ID Access

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Add Breifing shutters access to Doctors ID's.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Will stop doctors being trapped when they join 5 minutes late. Will stop doctors having to shout across the ship for assistance for access.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Simply add access to the doctors (and CMO's if they dont have it) ID cards so they dont get screwed over early on.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Edit the starting doctor ID area things.

Unless it's changed, the CMO does have access to the Briefing shutters. If the CMO is up and not tied up with surgery or some other task, they should beable to help get their doctors to Med-bay. However it's also important for them to inform their CMO about getting up; giving both the CMO and some of command an idea how much staff are up currently. I.E. CMO being the first one up, and their staff is still in cryo tends to leave them more focused upon getting things set up than letting their staff in, either delegated to someone or asked to wait somewhat.

What I'm seeing partly yet quite often, the doctors awakening don't sound off, at least notifying their coworkers or staff about joining the current shift earlier on. Think this is partly an RP problem, yet also would make sense for the doctors to have access there at least. Given they're suppose to report to med-bay around certain shift rotates of personal on board the Sulaco.

I've seen the CMO more often SSD in their office than actually doing anything.

And when I would play medic, yeah, it fucking sucks when the shutters are closed and nobody's coming by to open them.

+1. Im not quite sure why doctors dont have access to the Briefing shutters. In character, they are "Doctors" and are trusted with the power to bring people back from the brink of death. It seems unusual why they wouldnt have it, but thats me. I think sulaco staff should be able to freely move through the ship they work on. Maintaince can bypass the shutters through their ladder, Cargo can also bypass, Squad engineers can bypass the shutters, but medical staff and squad medics cannot. If there is a small amount of hesitation to allow medical staff shutter powers, then maybe we can allow them to access to the upper maintenance shaft doors. It would make sense as well for staff to come and go through their own passageways.

+1, too many times have i joined a tad late just to have to wait for somebody to open the shutters or for briefing to be over. saves me making myself look like an utter fool by screaming over common for it to be opened.

Sadly, not currently possible to do easy because doctors just have "medical" access, and the button is locked to "command".

We'd either have to:

1. Create a new access level, and distribute it to all the jobs that need it
2. Give Doctors bridge access

I'll leave this for more discussion though.

I'm not a dev but could you change the button's access requirement's to include medical access as well?

New access level sounds good to me, though giving Doctors bridge access wouldn't be remiss (so they can tend to people there in the event of emergencies).

Also remember to give Researchers access to the shuttle controls.

I personally think giving doctors access to the janitor supply area would be a great work around for not only allowing them passage around the briefing shutters but also access to much needed janitor equipment like the mop and bucket to clean out blood. This also prevents careless personnel from letting marines out of the briefing pen.

+1 it sucks waiting for people so I can do my job.
BTW, why not give them access to that MT tunnel that leads to briefing?
