More "Special" Pack Space (Medic/Engineer)
So I don't think I've seen this suggested before so here it goes...
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Nothing pisses me off more than being an Engineer, than having to balance out what gear I WANT to take, and what gear I CAN take. SAME for Medic. So, my idea in a nutshell is, we add in more space, maybe another 7 slots or something?
Now I know what most people are probably thinking, and I am one step ahead of you. No, make it to where we can not store ammo/guns in the bag. That way a Medic can't carry an armory on his back at all times. Of course, this may limit how much they CAN do with their gun, but eh... I feel like it would be a good trade off.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Well it would make being an Engineer/Medic MUCH less of a hassle. I always seem to be running out of SOMETHING, all because I had no room to store it.

But.. they're supposed to be a hassle so that one medic can't service the entire platoon, and one engineer can't support the entire FOB.

-1. I store ammo in my pack. That is literally the only way I get spare ammo as a medic aside from webbing and my pockets.

The extra space is meant to be a trade off, you get way more stuff that you can keep in your bag then other places. As a medic, I keep stuff in.. EVERYWHERE, I have no room for ammo. This would sorta' free up more space.

Indeed I face space constraints when playing as engineer or medic, so I make tradeoffs all the time, especially as the sole engineer of the squad. As a medic, my only ammo is stored in my webbing.. so no webbing = no ammo, but I live with it anyway. As an engineer, it becomes a little tricky because you need to share the load with your fellow squad engineer (or leave it behind for the next one who wakes up from cryosleep). At least webbing is available in the vendor, so I can still have my 3 magazines of ammo.
If you want spare supplies as engineer, best luck is to call in a supply drop. If that doesn't work, raid the colony for supplies (Cargo). If not, cannibalize. Medics' first aid kits can store alot on its own already, so space for meds has not been a problem for me at least.. Just takes a lot of time to prep.
TLDR; Work around the space constraints. I think it's only a minor frustration if you become too greedy. Ask some standards in your squad to hold your stuff if you really really need to.

I will always support squad engies (being one myself) but I usually can usually make it work. But I will agree it leaves very little wiggle room. My proposed fix would be to give the engies brown webbing vets (or even cool custom engy webbings) in their machines.

-1. Personally, i think having to choose what to take on a mission says alot about the medic and engineers playstyle. They already carry quite a heavy amount of spare space in the form of toolbelts, lifesaver kits, medickits, and other such items. about the only thing i could possible go for would be to give medics access to basic webbing since it seems weird to not see a medic webbed up with extra gear when everyone else in the squad has it. Anyone elses thoughts or is this thread dead?

In the past, squad medic vendors had 3 webbings just like engi vendors do, but they have since removed them.

I just added two back. This suggestion is unlikely to get implemented as stated, but we may do variant gear options or some such in the future. Resolved for now.
