M37 Shotgun bug

Bug Description:
The marine shotgun is able to magically eat its 9th shell somehow even though it's not supposed to.

Steps to reproduce:
Pump shotgun.
Load shotgun with one more shell.
Examine shotgun.

I can't see the image, but isn't that because there's one in the chamber, eight in the magazine?

It is how guns work.
When you pump it, one round goes into the chamber, thus leaving space for one more.
