Disable Recalling the Shuttle During Hangar Defense

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
The recent metagame is to recall the shuttle while the aliens are attacking the hangar. The Marines do this to build back up their defenses and generally it's a nuisance to deal with and it satisfies nobody.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
This will lead to more actually fun hangar defenses.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
While the Queen is on the shuttle you can't recall it until she is off or dead.

While i agree its lame and gives the marines too much fortifiying time,its kinda like
Marine:" SIR! the aliens are overflowing our defenses please send it back so we can re build"
Commander:" Why would we do that?why would we wanna live and get defenses stronger,its not like we are a civilized species"

Should most likely be a code solution. zlevel check would be the most sane I think. Just make it so if the Queen is alive on the Sulaco/hangar zlevel marines can't call or recall the shuttle.

I'm neutral on the idea of BLOCKING marines from sending it back, but increasing refuel time seems like a good solution. Or you could have something like a built in fuelport on the Rasputin, which the aliens may damage to increase the time it needs to refuel substantially, that would add something interesting in, plus the marines would have to keep an eye out for it.

Why not make it an MT job to refuel the shuttle? It's good for one trip down and up, which sounds fair. Then it needs to be refuelled. Give MT's a real purpose.

This is not a buff for aliens,neither a nerf for marines

Its gonna be easier for marines to jail the aliens and end them

And if the aliens are winning then its gG for the marines

But how will MTs refuel the dropship exactly?

If the aliens are winning, it'll be ended more quickly since the marines wouldn't be able to send the shuttle back and have time to recover.

If the marines are winning, the aliens get stomped and are unable to escape.

Invading the Sulaco is a quick Win or Lose attack, the final assault, as it should be.

-1. No. Just. No. Aliens can already do it to, they just choose not to and think because they're in the hangar they'll auto win. This is one of the ONLY viable defenses marines have in low pop or in general when there are no engineers and the marines are particularly shit. No point in ruining RP by some dumb thing where they can't send their shuttle down.

It's like telling a dying starving man not to eat the clean food directly in front of him, really.

If the marines are shit, then that's their fault for being shit. Doesn't mean we should take pity on them and say "Oh, you know, let's give you an extra five minutes to prepare."

+1 I think a better way is if the aliums take out the engines in the back with spit, then the delay to send it back down should be doubled or something. This also balances for marines so the aliums cant sit their and cart idiots that missed the shuttle back and forth so easily.

If i'm correct on this.
The thing is, is that it would mean the game is CONSTANTLY checking the queen's z level movements, Which can lead to a lot of data back up, causing lag. This sorta happened with the old code for proximity mines. It was ALWAYS checking the surrounding blocks for a character. Also same with dust, it was ALWAYS checking each, single tile to determine where and when to put dust build up :P

It could also just check if the queen is on the sulaco every time the shuttle is called rather than checking it constantly.

Stacking the cards in favor of the aliens even more by allowing the Queen to freely retreat to spam more aliens on the colony and recoup, but not allowing the marines to force the aliens out so they can re-prep the bay is ridiculous.

Almost every single round the hangar defenses are breached within 2 minutes.

In all honesty the shuttle console is absurd. It requires marines to have a valid id but it'll allow aliens to use it because fuck knows.

It requires the Alien to be a Queen, and Marines have several positions with shuttle call ids. Mechanically it's balanced because only a limited number on each side can use the consoles. Realistically it's absurd unless the Queen is smart enough to hack the console with no tools so the shuttle call is activated.

Sending the shuttle down makes sense in both RP and gameplay. This is just another unneeded marine nerf that is tipping the scales even further in the xenos favour.
