Tell us about your adventures:

Alright, mmm. Woke up really late in round, aliens on board, dead angry mercs, stuff like that. After about 15 minutes from that point we found a drone who was melting cooling equipment in engineering. Ended up killing and reporting him to Ordu. Later on I tried to fix our overheating core by connecting cold loop to exhaust gas space cooling line, but: 1) Core was too damn overheated already 2) Basic marines are bad at engineering. So, after some time and "OH GOD, CORE AT 90%" announcement - it went in space. Nearly dead, overradiated Werner tried to catch his breath, but, tu-du, here comes our revived CE.

And now I wanna see some explanations about why the hell self-defense in battle that started before round end counts as bannable end-of-round grief.

Yes, well I assume the CE was pissed to hear the "Idiot marine has ejected the core" announcement follow so shortly on the heels of the "Core is at 10% and rising" announcement. And to be fair, you pulled the knife first.

Which is all totally not what your ban is about, by the way. The issue was that the round ended and you continued to beat him up. For some time afterwards, you were still attacking him (Even more than, say, 10-30 seconds) That's why you were banned :P

Ahem, right after "Major Victory" he opened up shutters and started shooting at me through the door. I was in crit the whole time, both from knife wounds, knife itself and radiation, but tramadol kept me walking. So, you saying that if someone breaks EoRG rule and tries to finish you off, you can't stop him from doing it, even if the whole fighting started long before round end, right? (which means that it wasn't EoR fighting, meow)

You cant generate combat logs against fellow marines after round end for any reason. If theres a issue, report it or let yourself die.

Round is over, your death means nothing at that point.

Rule 6 clearly states that fighting after the round ends and generating combat logs is an IMMEDIATE 3 hour ban with no warnings, altought this is somewhat confuseing due to the "Grief" in end of round grief. Any combat log generateing actions aside from xeno vs marine combat or marine vs antag combat is disallowed.

That's why we have this awesome little thread here, to prove that battle in engineering had reasons to continue on after round end. Also, if rule 6 used this way, it makes it really RP-breaking. Like, a lot. It's here to prevent usual SS13 deathmatch honk battles at the end, that's all.

No it's here to prevent needless log creation becuase we, as admins and staff in general have to see everything you do so createing useless attack logs even if the battle started before round end makes it hard for us to resolve any remaining issues due to log generation.
