Bug Description:
A character receives damage that causes the vision to get blurry.
The damage is fixed. But the vision doesn't return to normal.
Usually that happen when there are multiple areas damaged (requiring surgery), some of this damage causes the blurred vision, the character get some medicine working in parallel on him (tricordrazine, bicaridine, tramadol and/or other - always at the same time) and then the surgery is done while the drugs are still in effect.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Get multiple damage requiring surgery, including damage that causes blurred vision.
2. Administer multiple healing drugs to the character.
3. Fix all the surgery requiring damage while there are medicine still in effect.
P.S.: I didn't took notes on the exact drugs and on the exact damage types. But I saw this situation happening more than once, and there was no genetic damage, radiation or similar thing involved.
Vision getting blurred and not returning to normal.

Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but if there is massive damage to the eyes and meds are used to repair them, they'll still be damaged but appear at full health on the scanner. Eye repair surgery is still required.
Aka Dennis Hunt the (usually) overworked medic/doctor.

Re: Vision getting blurred and not returning to normal.
Peridox should restore eye sight, but normally if it's something heavy causing blurriness to blindness, just from glancing at the numbers, I'd say surgery from personal experience. Although the nerve damage might be repaired, it''s possible the eye lens in this case is still misplace/shifted which may not be detected for an IC reason by scanner.
Usually for eye damage, anything over 10, I'd just do surgery, if it's including brain damage then wrap them both up in one surgery, by internal surgery around the head, advance trauma kit.

Re: Vision getting blurred and not returning to normal.
You are confusing eye organ damage and eye blurriness.
Eye organ damage rises eye blurriness, as does shock and some other things. Fixing eyes does not reset eye blurriness (It automatically decreases by 1 each tick), so it is possible that you have been in shock for a long time, so it takes a very long time for that blurriness to pass.
I'll put a maximum value allowed so it doesn't take 15 minutes for it to pass.

Yes, it's possible the situation is caused by an effect that doesn't wear off after all damage that started it is fixed.
Possibly it's an effect timer that is being stacked in programming, to very high values.
And the impact on gameplay is huge.
On all the situations I presenced, vision stayed blurry for the rest of the round.
Eye surgery, medicine for eye damage, medicine for genetic damage, prescription glasses?
Nothing worked to fix the issue.
And it wasn't caused by radiation, cloning or supermatter.
In all situations, the effect started after receiving damage from attacks.
Some players tried to log off and log back to fix.
Others apparently ragequitted and left their characters SSD.
Some suicided in-game.
- Desperation is evident when this bug kicks in.
It isn't a nice thing to have a annoying symptom that can't be fixed by any means and stay active for an entire round.

Re: Vision getting blurred and not returning to normal.
It was severe blood loss that kept increasing eye_blurry var without anything stopping it. It is now capped and should last less than a minute at maximum.
Fixed.
