Xenomorph Power Rankings

How would you rate xeno tiers to the number of marines it would take to successfully defeat? This assumes competence and teamwork all around, and is not a list of how useful a tier is. Just how many marines it takes to match it. Here's my list:

Drone/Runner/Sentinel/Hivelord/Boiler = 1.5 marines.
Hunter/Spitter = 2 marines.
Praetorian = 3 marines.
Carrier/Ravager/Queen = 1 squad/4-5 marines.
Crusher = 1.5 squads/6-8 marines.

OPEN SPACES:

Drone: 1-2 marines.
Carrier: 3-4 marines.
Hivelord: 1 marine.

Runner: 2 marines.
Hunter: 1-2 marines.
Ravager: 3-5 marines.
Crusher: 4-8 marines.

Sentinel: 1 marine.
Spitter: 1-2 marines.
Praetorian: 2-3 marines.
Boiler: 1 marine.


CLOSED SPACES:

Drone: 2-3 marines.
Carrier: 2-3 marines.
Hivelord: 2-4 marines.

Runner: 1-2 marines.
Hunter: 2-3 marines.
Ravager: 3-6 marines.
Crusher: 6-8 marines.

Sentinel: 2 marines.
Spitter: 2 marines.
Praetorian: 3-4 marines.
Boiler: 2-4 marines.

Just my input on it, but in a crowded marine area, runner can be a marines worth nightmare. A competent runner can turn 10 marines into a friendly fire joke. So, 2 marines at best. In the case of a runner, the more, the more marines,the more likely you're gonna cause friendly fire.

Wait, is this in a 1 v 1, or in a regular round with a full team of aliens and marines?

I dislike this whole topic a lot, as it implies xenos are to be used in 'single units'.
A real hunting pack is the danger, even as simple as spitter+runner.

This can't even be accurately measured. Some xenos are able to solo an entire squad, some marines solo the hive.

I'm not sure where you are getting that implication. I explicitly stated that this is taking teamwork into account. For example, if you have a crusher, sentinel, and a hivelord, I'd say that would take roughly 9 marines to take out.

With if the xeno relies on them, such as a carrier. You have less hugger dependence at tier 3, so just take your best estimate.
Man i need to do some deep analysis in order to answer those questions. Alright, a hugger is for an alien the same thing guns are for marines, so, let's assume that the alien has 2 huggers and the marine has the best weapon for a standard which is the m41a rifle, modded with a RDS and a Grip loaded and with an extra magazine in his pocket, both have full health, the runner can retreat to a place with weeds and the marine has bandages and a tricord injector, he also has a burning flare in his pocket which increases his vision by 1 more tiles compared to only the flashlight of the armor.

Stats of a marine:

Max health: 200 hp
pain threshold: 100 hp (how much pain the marine needs to get in order to be critted)
They are affected by all kinds of crowd control effects.
Max vision: 7x7
Effective vision (with flare): 5x5
Max speed: 4 tiles per second
Armor reduces brute melee damage by 40%, and brute ranged damage by 50% for chest and head.
Damage with an m41a rifle: 35 per bullet
Max dps without burstfire: 105 brute damage per second
Max dps with burstfire: 140 to 175 brute damage per second
They have bones that can be broken, to break a bone, they need to be damaged on one part of the body that already has 30 or more brute damage

Stats for a runner:

Max health: 200 hp.
"pain" threshold: 150 (how much damage the runner needs to get in order to be critted).
They can only be stunned by explosives or when they leap onto a wall.
Max vision: 7x7
Effective vision (with nightvision activated): 7x7
Max speed: 6 tiles per second
Doesn't have armor, but can dodge bullets
Can leap up to 5 tiles from where it is standing
Damage: 25
Damage with tail attack: 40-50
Max dps: 65-75 per second (quick sucesion of tail attack + regular attack)
They do not have bones.

(i'll continue tomorrow to "run" in my mind different cases where a runner rights a marine)

I'll elaborate. Your account proposes to "summ up" the parts, not taking into account the real multiplications and factors involved.
Your account also shows the possibility of one runner taking down 1.5 marines, and Crusher crushing mortals left and right alone.
While it is certainly possible specifically such individual approaches is what costs silent xenos victories and makes for uninteresting rounds for marines.

As for the real calculation, there are a number of questions to find out the "real" number.
Marines with knives? Marines with SADAR? Baldies or experienced bug hunters?
Marines defending? Marines attacking a weeded and hugger infested cave?
Alien hunting pack attacking and falling back, or being ambushed and hivelord dying uselessly?
Or operating from an extensive tunnel network, connected to egg chambers and nests?

And that even not taking into account other packs/fireteams in the area.

Though on the positive side we can always direct admins to this topic when they give us messages "There are 30 marines, go kill those 6 aliens" so I admire the steps taken.

Need a larva scale, as in how many larvae equal a given marine. I want to say I'm at least a 2, maybe 2.5.

Ravagers are worth 3 at least. ALL tier 1s are worth one marine. All tier 2s are worth two. Crushers are worth 4 at least because of their fucking armor. Queen is basically a slower Ravager.

I can easily takeout 3-4 marines as a Ravager using hit and run tactics.

depends who the player is really.A new player most likely can't kill a T2 or maybe even below if the T1 is a decent player.As most people said you can't really measure stuff like this but there is one thing I'm certain of.....
Crusher=20 sulacos and a few supply drops on its head(maybe even a few hundred SADARs for good measure)
