This thread is basically where you can put all your officer briefings so you can some what get an idea of how to tell them what to do and what to say.
Small squad orders to the commander briefings, your choice.
Angry or not.
To the point or make up some back story.
Your choice.
I would write one but I don't have time to nor am I at my PC. But for a placeholder I'll leave something here.
On point briefing.
► Show Spoiler
Marines we have a distress call from a planet called lazurus landing and we've been tasked to investigate the situation.
This should be a simple S.A.R mission so expect a some bit of resistance from possible raiders.
*A squad* will be tasked with securing the LZ and will be setting up a beach head for reinforcements and will be evacuating any civilians.
*A squad* will be tasked for checking the power plant to see if it needs fixing.
All other squads are tasked with the search and rescue mission, you are to search all of the colony from east to west.
Good luck marines.
My briefing.

Right you pieces of shit, listen up.
We've been tasked by Wey fucking-Yu in investigating a distress call they got from one of their shit colonies and we're the lucky fucks to be dealing with it.
I'm gonna assume it's some shit loving bandits and fucktarded pirates that took it over and wants the civies for a ransom of fuck all.
And we ain't giving it to them.
So go fuck'em up after I assign you tasks.
*A squad* your task is to secure and maintain the nexus,we'll use it as an FOB.
*A squad* your task is to secure the power plant.
*A squad* you're gonna be hunting the fucks down which means scouting and you'll be taking the vindicator.
*A squad* go secure the nexus with *A squad*.
And the three squads that aren't on that death box go on the rasputin.
Now get off my ship.
George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.
I don't like cute things.
Good hunting.

1. Be short and up to the point.
2. Be fast.
3. Kudos if you actually see the squad composiion and/or discuss assignments with SL's beforehand.

1. Be hard on them, give them ten minutes to eat and suit up.
2. Examine the composition of each squad for a minute or two at briefing.
3. DO NOT ASSIGN CHARLIE TO SCOUTING DUTY!
4. Set up a sort of field command system.

Ten minutes is too long.

This is how Commander Bill Carson does his briefing.
Preparing for Briefing
1. Have your BO's stand in a line to demonstrate military discipline and explain to them what you expect, and assign them a task they are responsible for.
2. Assign the MP's to watch req and the briefing shutters. Maintaining the peace is crucial.
3. Look at all squad monitors to see how many different type of classes and amount of marines are in each squad.
4. With a pen and paper (in game) write down what you want each squad to do on the planet. For example a small squad with no medics or engineers would be the scouting party, largest squad with medics and engineers would be FOB squad, etc. Writing it down is useful to reference after briefing is over, and makes a good reference for BO's. Lastly it makes it look like you know what you are doing.
Arriving to Briefing
1. Ask the MP's if all the marines are ready and have them herd all the marines into the briefing room.
2. Show up fashionably late, because the world revolves around you.
3. With your laptop check, in the briefing box the cameras to be sure all marines are here, and then make a last call announcement with a slight threat added.
The Briefing
1. Begin your brief by talking about your military success and accomplishments. Do not be afraid to boast about your superior achievements that never happened.
2. Go into your family history and speak about how you come from a long line of military generals, this makes you seem like a capable, intelligent and important person.
3. Get down to business and explain to the marines the possible situations they may be deployed to, and why they are deployed while they are screaming in LOOC to hurry up and slander your name. (Try not to enjoy that part)
4. With your outstanding strategy plan, begin in great depth and detail what you want each squad to accomplish.
5. Add some inspirational quotes to finish off your briefing and make all marines aware of the insubordination law.
6. After a long pause dismiss the marines from briefing.
Aftermath
1. Sit in your commander chair and give attack and/or retreat orders.
"I’m Carson. Bill Carson. I work for the company. But don’t let that fool you. I’m really an okay guy."

What's wrong with sending Charlie on scouting duty!?
