Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): I go in and out of my scope ALOT and it can spam the chat quite a bit.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Less chat clutter for everyone around snipers
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Just remove messages when going in and out of scope mode
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Remove the "peers through" and "looks up" from scope

I think that this is actually kind of important. It gives all of the marines near you the information that you are looking through your scope and thus not able to defend yourself in the immediate area. It would suck for a sniper to die and then the marines say "Well we didn't know why he wasn't responding to anything around him!"

Yeah but the spam is ridiculous when I need to check all 4 sides, it's 8 lines of text from me alone

I personally think the spam is worth it if it prevents unnecessary salt and confusion as to whether you're afk, just not reacting, or if you're aiming.

I don't see the point of removing it either...

It serves a function of letting you and the people around you know what's going on. The chat window is problematic in general, but this does serve a purpose. Denied.
