Melee Reflective Ability

Post by NoShamNoWow » 22 Apr 2016, 23:14

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Remove the deflective capabilities of melee weapons against bullets.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): We are not ninja's. No way are we able to block a tiny bullet with a claymore or machete, makes no sense.
This suggestion mostly aimed at Hunter Games and making it to give a chance against those players who get a extremely good melee early on.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Just remove the defective ability of melee weapons against bullets, melee to melee is ok.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Coding
Elijah Makus [Sulaco (CO)] says, "Some crazy son of a bitch killed the queen with his bare hands"
Reenus Turner asks, "Do you got a bipod I can put on my knife?"

+1. I got screwed over by it, and it doesn't make sense for it to even exist. We are ultimate badasses, but what are the odds of slicing a bullet with it?

+1. A sniper round was once blocked by a katana, we're not jedi.

I feel like it has something to do with spit being a projectile, and bullets also being a projectile. If possible, +1 to stopping deflection with machete or claymore. However, I find it kinda SS13 funny to be able to block bullets.

Or make it only available for Hunter Games. because it's all about fun not realism.

I think this suggestion is suggesting that:

Akeda Imika (or some shit like that) blocks the supersonic bullet with the claymore!

Excerpt from the Hunter Games when Tyler and Akeda teamed and Tyler had the AT rifle.

Edit: Expanded the excerpt and here's my +1.

BRING IT ON CASANY! I DO NOT CAST DOWN A CHALLENGE!

I'm removing the projectile block ability of the machete. I will probably remove it from all melee weapons as time goes on, and especially if I'm able to update CQC. Resolved for now.
