SL testing gear

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Well, in the hunger games I've seen some guns which descriprion says they are being tested by the marine corps, like the heavy pulse and marksman pulse rifles. I think that of all the people the ones to test those would be squad leaders.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):Well it gives SL's new toys and makes fire support and sniping available even if the specialists aren't present or available.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):As stated above,the SL would be able to snipe or lay down heavy fire but not as effective as a specialist.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):just add them and the ammo to the SL vendor, possibly a coin item so they have only one and maybe a crate of extra ammo for them orderable in req

One -1 from me.
SL is there not to fire guns.
SL is there to lead (shout orders and asses situations) and not die.

You want guns- give them to SPC's, or Cargo, or researchers.

The SL isn't the one who gets the powerful guns, that's spec, I think it blurs the roles a bit.

To be clear the guns I suggested are literally pulse rifles with either a scope or 100 ammo capacity, giving that to the spec would be like making him buy the bandana with the coin just because it's slightly more powerful than the ordinary helmets.

-1 on the grounds that if we start giving the SL's more unique toys no relat3ed to leadership then we'll have more dipshits who don't want to actually lead and take up the spot just to be a more tacticool standard which hurts the server big time.
