Suggestion: Reban touching bodies as alien

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Make it so that Aliens cannot touch/eat/play with bodies.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Stops Aliens from meta eating corpses to make sure they can't ever be cloned.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Put it back in the rules. It was fine before, and now it's just another way for aliens to BS the round. If you kill a host without impregnating it, you should not be "Rewarded" by keeping that player permanently out of the game. Especially on high pop rounds, where marines can't go alien if there aren't enough larva. It just ruins the fun for others and makes people quit rounds earlier, encouraging smaller player bases. In addition, it's not canon at all. Aliens never dragged around bodies to separate areas, and they CERTAINLY could NEVER fit an entire person into their mouths.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Just put it back in the rules, enforce it. Easy as that.

Well I know it used to be unallowed to touch bodies OUTSIDE the hive, granted I see the need to do it inside the hive as space needs to be cleared and there are some instances of canon where aliens ate host's corpses. I know the rule was completely removed when cloning was going to be removed, but that still seems like the distant future so I don't know for sure one way or the other...

Inside the hive, it's totally fine. Clearing space makes a LOT of sense. It would be cooler if they just dragged the bodies into a 'body pit' or something gruesome for the marines to discover, but yeah, that's fine. I'm talking about ayylmaos eating corpses right next to the dropship LZ to deny cloning.

Eating bodies outside of the hive is just poor sportsmanship, and it isn't canon at all. But neither is cloning on a marine vessel. As with a lot of my recent opinions, I think we need more of a balancing change to bring the game closer to the source material while keeping it interesting.

It's probably better to put this rule back into effect AFTER cloning is removed, to even things out, but for now I'd rather keep it as a valid tactic, but when cloning is removed I'll be changing my vote and reviving this thread. -1.

I remember killing a ravager and there's five corpse inside which is fine, it just some way to reduce the marines number and cloneable corpse. Alien can latejoin so do marines. If other players joined when the aliens thought marines already losing and then find out there's 10-20 people shooting grenade when they assault. It's a fair game for alien to eat corpse, it take time and not instantly removed. -1

Either way, eating out the hive is just fucking stupid. Even if we removed cloning and buffed defibs, marines would still need their bodies. I would love to see this rule back, aliens can take you out of body bags at LZ while no one is looking and eat you and nothing can be done about it. +1

I only eat to move to a body pit inside the hive once they burst. Basically just house keeping the nests clear.

If anything remove the gibbing ability of the queen i see plenty of queens doing that to ones i dont remove to a pit

Would it be possible to remove devour for dead targets. If inside the hive simple to drag away if outside it's pointless to bother dragging home

Another thread like this was already made. And if you get your body eaten, just take a deep breath, turn on netflix, and come back later.

Kind of hard to chill when a runner has no idea what a body bag or stasis bag is and proceeds to open it and eats you at the LZ.

Don't see the point to aliens even caring about the bodies. As others have stated, inside an aliens mouth....IS ANOTHER ALIENS MOUTH.

Why would you tear it limb to limb?

+1 only if you let aliens get rid of those otherwise indestructible light sources (like say using acid on the body; melts the armour/other gear away, leaves a badly acid burned corpse for cloning), -1 otherwise.

Remove cloning and or make corpses rot. I understand not everybody wants to play alien, but I have been in a double digit number of rounds where there were as many larvae as active aliens and the game was a slow attrition of one side getting dead people replaced by newjoins and the other a replacement 5 minutes after every death.

I think that eating dead bodies is poor form, but the chance of being cloned is grossly overestimated.

Xenos do need to be able to pull dead bodies though because the suit lights never turn off, and they need to be removed from the front lines.

+1 to removing eating dead marines, 1 to the rest.

Why not having bodies decompose , aliens cant eat them but after like 20 minutes the marines turn into skeletons? Prevents a sudden surge of previously dead marines rejoining the round after a hive assault.
