The First Tyranic War just finished, part of Hive fleet Behemoth was destroyed by the Ultramarines, however, remnants still fly in space eating everything in their way, the Tau empire also grows after the failure of the Achilus Crusade, the Orks are uniting, Chaos is starting a big move, the Necrons are waking....

However, not all things are lost.

The frontier world of Inheritors just saw the creation of the 1st Inheritors Colonial Guardsmen. A division of the Astra Militarum that will respond to defend the planets in the fringe of the Imperium. Arriving quickly and to fight with less resources as possible.
The regiment is a basic Line infantry, the backbone of the Imperial Guard, they form the bulk of every battle line, the core of every assault, and the heart of every defence. They are die-hards, the regiment is unyielding in the face of adversity, and will not falter amidst the fury of battle, no matter the horrors arrayed against them.
They were sent to the distant Spinward front to help Duke Severan in stopping the pirate activities in the sector: Kroots, Dark Eldar and a incoming WAAAAGH!!, but things are starting to get worse and darkness is coming to the sector...

Now, Inheritors have a new place in the Imperium, their soldiers will fight in foreign world that they never heard to defend the homelands that they'll never see
There will be no mercy

No Surrender
No Peace
Only war

Hello everybody! Recently we had an conversation in organizing a Warhammer 40K RPG with Roll20, it ended with me begin the GM of Only war. We play as colonial guardsmen in the grim darkness of the future, no space marines, powerful inquisitors or rich assholes exploring space, only your average guardsmen with mars-grade balls of steel. The campaign is on-going but you can join between sessions.
And now EVERYBODY can join, we play on Roll20, meaning that you'll have to creat an account on it., it will provide all sheets and materials to play. We will use CM's discord to play because it works

You don't need to download everything, just the corebook on the "ONLY WAR" folder.

It happens that the mega is for ALL W40K RPGs like Dark heresy and deathcwatch and you need only a small part of it.

That's no problem, we are humble guardsmen: Normal humans fighting against :
(a)Ancient Murdering Robots that destroy the laws of physics with their tech and don't die even if they are nuked
(b)Genetically engineered killing machines (However, this won't happen in my game since both are on the same side)
(c)The evil twin brother of the Genetically engineered killing machines, with equally evil goatees Clad in powered armor
(d)Extremely warlike genetically-engineered fungus able to grow bigger and stronger the more they fight.
(e)Manipulative space elves in possession of extremely cheesy technology and can jump around making damn accurate shots like Quake players
(f)The above-mentioned space elves' emo, bondage obsessed cousins who like to meet interesting people, shoot them a little, then torture them for eternity
(g)Highly-advanced space Communists with mecha and god-like firepower that surprisingly uses Combined Arms Warfare more than Imperial Guard
(h)Mutant 10ft tall space monsters with lots of teeth to devour you with, which come in such a huge swarms that you literally run out of ammo before your guns can chew through half of them
(i)Daemons(yes deamons from hell) with a billion tentacles to rape you with
(j)Reptilian/Insectoid abominations that kill you and mutilate your body because they think its "Funny"
(k)Space birds that kill and eat you acting as mercenaries indepedently or for the space communists
(l)The GM(me)
(m)Some combination of the above

Just to mention, diferently from other RPGs (like D&D or Pathfinder), this one is EXTREMLY LETHAL, we didn't got wiped out because I'm not throwing enough enemies.

I might check this out, looks interesting. If you're ever interested in making a large map for your players to play on Maptool is a program I've used. It has lighting effects.

I've used Roll20 as well, it's great. I was just bummed about the map size restrictions with it once upon a time, so I linked it in case of a similar situation.

You should share the tale of your player's adventure when it comes to an end. I'd read it.
