Job-Ban Appeal

Post by Solacian72 » 24 May 2016, 13:08

Your Byond ID: Solacian72

Character Name: Miller Campbell

Type Of Ban (Job-ban, Timed Ban, Permaban): Job-Ban

Admin who banned you (if known): Feweh

Total Ban Duration: N/A

Remaining Duration: N/A

What other servers do you play on? None, really. Sometimes Hippie just for the heck of it

Are you now or have you been banned on any of them? Nope

Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): Incompetence, and one other thing I forget, some sort of rule breaking

Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable): N/A

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc):
So, I am a bit iffy about this whole ban. I understand the reason and stuff, but there is one problem. I was never warned about it. I asked Feweh why I wasn't warned, and he said you can't fix incompetence, which I disagree with. People can try harder than they were before, and that's fixing incompetent, in a way. Even in that case, Feweh messaged me once with "Hey, you there man?", but I was AFK when that was messaged. I immediately messaged him back, with "Now I am," but he never replied back. What's the point of messaging me if he thought incompetence can't be fixed? I was never warned about breaking the rules, either. It is completely unfair, inmy opinion, to be banned without warning, and I haven't had much issues with staff prior to this. He also said my fellow BO's were complaining about me, and they never once did talked to me OOC'ly either. This is more of an IC issue, in my opinion. I should also state I was banned from CO, XO, BO, CMO, CE, and CL, but Feweh removed that, which everything apart from CO and XO which seems kinda strange.

Banned from Commander, Executive Officer, Bridge Officer, Military Police, Corporate Liaison, Requisitions Officer, Chief Engineer, Chief Medical Officer - Incompetent, broke numerous small rules by () on Tue, May 17th of 2016

I mean they're hardly the best CO I've ever seen, but I wouldn't call them totally incompetent or justify this heavy of a ban over it... I mean they WERE trying to do their job the rest of the round, at least. In my opinion, +1 for removal. Also they were indeed not warned, just banned out of the blue.

Feweh, I'm not seeing these numerous small rule breaks...

Well I feel silly, I went and missed something. Your notes were not updated and this is ONLY a Commander and Executive Officer ban. Has anyone seen anything showing they don't deserve this? For now I'm moving to neutral, this was given for a reason, and is much less than I thought it was. It also hasn't been very long and I would honestly give it more time. Just play BO some and prove you know what you're doing to make sure.

Alright, that's fine. Could this be kept open or something until then, or should I re-write it when I feel like I've improved?

It will stay open while others weigh in. My advice is to just be patient and play, then come back and make another in about a month. If you haven't gotten any notes in that time your chances are much higher.

Oh man I remember you.

This was all kinds of bad, as in you were the definition of incompetent playing Commander.
You did 0 leading at all and you went AFK for a bit as well, hence why I originally messaged you.

I see no reason to lift this job-ban so soon, really play some Bridge Officer for a bit then will talk.
