Make electrified grilles great again.

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): make electrified grilles able to be shot through without breaking it, so we wouldn't make two FoBs, telecomms/engineering dome as an FoB primarily. Xenos would get zapped whenever they try and pass, grilles can be melted and destroyed by spits.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Nexus will be great again and LZ1 will be used, instead of the annoying pod.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): just make bullets go through grilles??

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): coding???

Fuck no, that was horrible. Even if spit damages them, the spitters can be shot at. Electrified grilles are basically an impregnable barrier of bullshit that you can shoot through! No, just no. -1.

You do realize it took like 2 spits against a grilles before. Now with the update, spitter can just shoot them all down at ease when aliens are attacking the FoB, you don't go alone as a fucking spitter, you go in packs, so you don't get shot down.

A damn runner can go past defences and run around right now.

BUT?
Only if grilles melt faster when acid-ed, if they let both the smoke (from boilers or any other source) and flamethrower fire go through and also if they get damaged when an alien bashes at it (stunning the alien, of course).
-> Just because a grille is nothing else than a frail metallic construction, with a lot of empty space in it.

oh boy here we fucking go again.
aliens were always able to take the grilles down, it's entirely their problem nobody ever listened and used heavy spit to drop them. I doubt people will recall we have that ability now, even when you can literally machinegun them down with spitters and praetorians.
neutral, I like it but the alien salt is gonna rocket skyhigh if it's brought back. though with hangar building disabled, perhaps it can work.

+1 Grilles were one of the main things holding a defense in the nexus, now we have to use T-Comms because its so much more compact and easier to defend. 2 FOB's suck, nexus barely has any proper defenses since most supplies will go to T-Comms, or people will 'attempt' to fortify nexus which is impossible due to the sheer size and the lack of a usable defense.

I would like to see razor wire implemented, which would be similar to egrilles but make much more sense visually and mechanically.
