Everett Dryfus Appreciation Thread

Post by crono23 » 25 Jun 2016, 04:49

Killed 2 Queens, an Ancient Crusher, a small army of aliens, and Apop himself as an Elder Pred single-handedly.

I don't know what more can be said, praise this badass!

He's in the hall of victory.
George S.Patton once said:No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making some other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

Good hunting.

Also killed an Elder Pred. Praised be the man. I wish my hammer to be made out of supermatter core though.

Probably used a damn autoclicker and shitcurity training. You could not have beaten a god that easily.

His achievement sounds impressive until I read that this was all done in the thunderdome and it was all 1v1 combat.

Still impressive but I was under the impression he did this in the field.

Given that last night there was a round where the queen built a hive just next to where the dropship landed while marines fled down after a CE ejected a supermatter 1 minute into the round, leading to every xeno but a huggerless carrier and a ssd drone (which I inhabited and suicided on) being slaughtered within 10 minutes, the fact that a single marine took on that many xenos and won isn't quite as impressive.

We're in greytide season and I highly doubt the ancient crusher in particular knew wtf they were doing.

From the townhall last night, pred weapons have been nerfed by the new projectile system and they aren't considered to be strong enough relative to xenos or marines currently.

I'm sure Everett's player was playing robustly, but these feats are impossible against xenos of average skill, and I have no idea where pred balance is currently.

So you lost to the same marine as both an ancient crusher and an elder pred?

I did some impressive things when i was a survivor, managed to kill many aliens, got an ID, went to search for weapons in the crashed ship, killed a fucking ravanger with my survivor buddy, saved is ass two times, team worked with a yautja, saved a bunch of marines in the caves, killed many unfortunate hunters with an axe that tried to pounce on me and finally died in the most epic way possible, defended the hangar and was the last person alive in the hangar while still fighting, unfortunately the queen finished me up, but i still did realy good

Statue of the Unknown Marine

A statue of an unknown standard marine whose bravery and valor enabled him to overcome overwhelming odds. He is envisioned here with a sword on his back and a shotgun in his hands.

Statue of Saul Freytia should be erected in every room on the planet and every room on the Sulaco.

No... Just no.
The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

A 1v1 duel in a well lit, very open, combat arena that likely had no weeds is a far different affair to virtually any other combat situation.

Did any of the Aliens even have a Facehugger?

Not trying to belittle this achievement but it does not strike me as a legendary feat, especially when I recently came from a 1v2 against two Ravagers and I won I a open landing zone.

A couple tried facehuggers, yes.

And to think, if it weren't for me blowing the SM, this would have never happened because it left two marines and two xenos alive.
