Chloral Hydrate Nerfed?

Did this chem get nerfed into oblivion?

I used it in an attempt to mercy kill maimed soldiers as Researcher in order to clone them because we had no medical and it took forever to kill even at 30 U (overdose at 15), while not even anesthetizing them. In fact, even at a massive overdose, the damage was so low I resorted to direct, large injections of polyacid.

It overdoses at 1u. I got bant from Researcher for not knowing that.

Don't you start taking toxin damage from chloral depending on how much you have?

I remember shooting a syringe gun with 15u of chloral at a pred before as a Doctor. Needless to say I was promptly beheaded afterwards.

Default OD per Baycode is 15.

The Chloral didn't do anything but blur vision and slowly poison at a rate of like 1toxin damage per tick.

Normally Chloral is supposed to sedate and do heavy toxin damage (5 / tick) at OD. It did not in this case.

CM's default is not Bay's default. Its 1u OD.

Either way, it did shit all. Like I said, I had to resort to a 30 U polyacid injection to kill because the chloral took far longer to euthanize than it should have.

If you want to kill someone with chemicals...

Chloral, Lexorin, synaptizine, you COULD use phoron but you probably shouldn't, unless you have a massive supply, arithrazine also causes minor damage. Or, you could use a scalpel to make various incisions and let them bleed out.

Chloral by itself should be sufficient, but currently it seems to be total ass even at 30 U.

Synaptizine is also slow as fuck even though it's hard to detoxify. Polyacid was pretty damn lethal, especially when the organ damage it causes kicks in. Hyperzine might be an effective kill chem due to the rapid accumulation of heart damage it causes.

I just want to know whether or not Chloral is actually nerfed.

You shouldn't be killing people as a researcher... THat's how you get a job ban. Mercy Kills fall into the "killing" category...

Well it's either that or leave people with their fractures while we have no medical (all killing was consensual), or having them commit suicide.
