Give crusher its old momentum speed.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Give crusher its old momentum speed back.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Crushers realistically are not that strong, they just robust the unrobust. The change to momentum is really unneeded.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Revert back to old style crusher momentum, which is more like a crusher in the Colonial marine game.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Easy changeback.

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
Can you elaborate on how it is different than it was before?

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
I'll try to explain as best as I can. So when you charge as a crusher, before you would speed up when you hear yourself stomping at about the speed of a hivelord using resin walker. When at full momentum, you move at the speed of a runner or hunter, maybe slower. Not sure when the change came about as I dont see it documented in changelog, but now at top momentum, you are about as fast as the queen using frenzy. Top speed right now is fast enough for a non hungry marine to zone you and/or run your pace or faster while gunning you down with AP rounds.

Wait, so the crusher moves slow while charging at full speed? What?

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
It has not been my experience that at top speed you move slower than a marine, though you reach maximum momentum well before you reach top speed, and I was able to charge away from marines in open areas easily.

I'm very much sure of it, the last times I played as crushers yesterday or rather this early morning I was amazingly slow at top momentum which should = top speed as before.

Clearly you did not read my post.outordinary wrote:I'm very much sure of it, the last times I played as crushers yesterday or rather this early morning I was amazingly slow at top momentum which should = top speed as before.
I am aware that full momentum is not very fast, perhaps as slow as you are suggesting. However, after obtaining maximum momentum you can continue to accelerate to much faster than a marine can move.
I am against any buffs to crusher at this time.

Angry much?
I very much did read your post, you Clearly did not understand my post.
From what I remember of playing crusher before whenever this change came, at full/maximum momentum you would be at top speed. You can't fool me my friend, I notice when something is changed.
Another thing, it can't be a buff if it was already there before. It's simply reverting a change that was not even documented in the changelog.

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
1) I have literally said, twice, that I understand the difference between top speed and maximum momentum. Top speed is faster than a marine can go, maximum momentum may not be. There is no confusion.outordinary wrote:Angry much?

2) Whether something is listed in the changelog is irrelevant, only that it is intended. Otherwise it would be a bug.
3) Making maximum momentum also be top speed would be a significant buff to crusher, which does not need it at this time.
4) I will not be replying to any more of your posts in this thread until you demonstrate reading comprehension sufficient to pass the third grade.

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
Crushers reach max momentum, which determines damage and whether they can destroy something they come into contact with (typically they require 15-20 depending on the object, but tables require only 3, which is about 2 tiles of charge, and after the first table can keep plowing).Azmodan412 wrote:Wrecked. They keep accelerating for several screens, continuously moving faster, and it seems like they retain extra speed for a few tiles after turning.
Crushers can also trample you while you're down, which requires a few tiles to build momentum. One thing I havent tested is if momentum affects trample damage, but a full momentum charge appears to instantly put a marine in paincrit.

This will also be my last response as you aren't trying to understand what I'm saying and just want crusher to receive its constant, undocumented in changelog nerfs. Whether you noticed it or not, it was equal. I am 100% sure it was equal. It did not take extra time to get to top speed before.
You speak like because it's been changed and isn't in the changelog that it never happened, just gone from your dense mind. You are saying the changelog is irrelevant but it is there for a reason. You don't make changes without documenting it.
Now keep to your word and do not reply to my thread again. I don't have the time to keep replying to someone who just doesn't get it. If you have basic comprehension enough to pass the second grade, you will keep to your word and not come back to my thread.

Re: Give crusher its old momentum speed.
I still don't really know what the topic is requesting since their speed hasn't changed. Denied.
