Bug Description: I'm not sure if this is a bug, but when boiler bombardment hits a turret, the turret can't function anymore and can't shoot at xenos at a period of a time, just letting them knock the turret down at ease.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Be a boiler.
2. Bombard and tell xenos to charge at the turret.
3. ???
Boiler bombardment on turrets allowing them to not react at a certain time.

Boiler gas blocks line of sight.
Turrets use line of sight for targeting.
Not a bug.

It didn't work that way before.Toroic wrote:Boiler gas blocks line of sight.

Besides, that's ridiculously OP. You're taking the marine's best defensive weapon and having it be blocked by a caste that there's commonly 2 or 3 of. The marines then can do nothing to save the turret because it's walled off by a cloud of instacrit acid that not only totally obscures their line of fire but is full of melee castes that are madly rushing to knock down the defenses.

Generally it's a lucky hive to have one good boiler, let alone 2 or 3. They also glow and are slow as fuck so the solution is generally to murder the boiler.Monoo wrote: It didn't work that way before.

The counter is to not have the turret exposed or right behind a barricade of some sort (which block boiler gas, for some reason).
Also, whether something is OP or not (such as boiler bombs not being blocked by other xenos) is not relevant to a bug report, it should go in suggestions.

Again, it didn't work like that before, hence bug report. Sentries were able to shoot even after bombardment. It's OP and ridicilious knowing you can just bombard a sentry by clicking at the tile you wish for now and get T1s just to slash it several times and drop it down.Toroic wrote: Generally it's a lucky hive to have one good boiler, let alone 2 or 3. Boiler gas has blocked LOS for the last three weeks, and I would hazard a guess that it blocked LOS since at least the xeno update.
Again, pretty sure it's not a bug and I'd personally make boilers blocked by allies before I'd remove the LOS affecting sentries, since gas won't go through a tablewall.

This isn't a bug nor has this been changed recently. Turrets only grab targets that they can see, so they're not shooting through walls and such. Boiler gas blocks line of sight, etc. Invalid.
