MP Questions

So, recently ive been playing MP a lot, which has brought up some questions. As i have read marine law, i understand the laws, but i have some questions on things that arent really ADDRESSED on marine law. First off, a few rounds ago, a riot broke out on the shuttle, killing three including the instigator. A marine fired on the shuttle twice, hitting the dead body in the head. He said thats why he shot, and said that we had no right to arrest him. We did, but i couldnt find it in marine law, so i put on 10 minutes. Was that the right thing to do, or would it be abuse of MP since he didnt deserve arrest? Another question came from when we arrested a squad medic who shot us while running, but He was the only other medic besides one other. We were ordered to let them go. The reason we arrested them was because they shot a marine three times and went to the ground. Should we have not let them go, or should we have let them go? Last one is, a marine thats under arrest starts insulting the MP thats arresting him. Would that count as any law, and if so, how much time should be added? i hope all these questions can be adressed and answered, and if anyone else has questions on MP they should ask here. i hope the admins get around to looking at this

Well, let me tell you straight away, people will try to riot if you capture a medic at any point and he is one of the last few, i am gonna try answer to just help abit but i hope apop can answer when he can as this is his own server, also some encounters, if not all of them require you to make a lot of decisions.

I belive you did the right thing, tho i would have put it at 15 minutes, in no circumstances should he be shooting at the corpses, especially in the head, people very much like to be cloned, not have their corpse shot repeatedly by some guy, especially on Sulaco.

Here comes the sad part, many people never know what happens when someone is arrested, and when its someone who can heal you, people will very quickly try to riot or demand his release because he is a medic, despite the fact he should not even be doctoring for what he did (in this case, shooting at MP's, shooting at fellow Marine's, and going to the ground with no order) but people even if such would be presented, may still not even listen, such medics honestly should not even be out there healing, they would do a worser job probably healing if they are let out, so yes, he should be kept in brig and not in outside, probably shooting Marines or leaving them to die because they "screamed" or "just didin't like them" (yes those assholes exist).

Nah, insulting is very, very common amongst this server's players and it does not break any law at all, chaos would happen if it was, and MP's most of the time would probably end up very, very dead.

Desecration of a corpse in any form is illegal. And law goes above rank. If the CO breaks the law, you arrest his ass. MPs are pretty much beside the military, not in it.
