Allow used stasis bags to function as ghetto bodybags.

Post by Monoo » 18 Jul 2016, 16:27

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): We all know that stasis bags have one use. After you unzip them, they turn into a crumpled mess that is no longer functional. Let's fix that.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Prevents a shortage of bodybags, allows medics that are low on supplies to quickly transport injured away from battle.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Clicking on the bag again after it becomes crumpled and useless makes it pop up again. However, it is noticeably worn, with wrinkles, scratches and possibly even a few holes added to the sprite. From this point on it functions exactly like a body bag, but ghetto.

There's all sorts of secret tricks like this in most ss13 codebases, and I think it would be a neat tool for experienced medics.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Code and spriting.

Sometimes I might play other guys, you never know.

Why not just carry bodybags? Stasis bags aren't really that useful when you can just quick-clot someone.

I never saw the point of having stasis bags other than to save that one marine with massive organ damage or brain damage...

This seems like a rather pointless suggestion. If you use up a stasis bag, you have space for a bodybag.
