Positives of Greytide humans/xenos.

Post by DeadLantern » 21 Jul 2016, 01:44

Hello, from a filthy Greytide. This is my first post. I've played CM a lot over the few months, I played as Grey Mortem and Kazimov Karamov (and two others I do not want to mention). Anyway, here's the positives of your good ole' Greytides.
+They are hilarious. (Baldie stabbed himself with Screwdriver! The CO and XO fighting with a bag! Queen Greytide going over to the LZ and calling the drop ship at the start of the round! Shit like that.)
+They will eventually blossom. Eventually.
+Greytide engineers. (SM has been blown up by baldie.)
+Trying to bombard as Boiler. (They almost always bombard themselves, which is quite a boon sometimes.)
+Forgetting coifs on ice map, making them die instantly.
+Becoming Iron Bear in ERT. (KILL ALL CAPTALIST CYKA BLYAT CYKA BLYAT)
+Good distraction.
+Good shield.
+Makes MP have jobs.
+Rambo. (Sometimes can pay off.)
+Hugging/Punching everyone they see.
+Mistaking queen as attack caste and rushing in to SUPRISE and fuck the marines. (Marines get rekt.)
+Mistaking Drone as attack caste. (Dying.)
+Greytide CO. (Salt.)
+Actually doing something right.
+Breaching the hull with super grenades.
+Greytide events. (I've gotten an event where a Greytide became a secret Russian operative but forgot the secret part and just yelled CYKA BLYAT while murdering everyone.)
+Banning them. (I assume it feels good.)
+Finding out that you have to hold a weapon with two hands to be able to shoot most weapons.
+Dying all the time.
Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Meow. Here, Jonesy.

Saddly I especially love the last one.
(Also you forgot that one: See'ing one in your squad as SL always makes you think you're playing poker ;))
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Yeah, but they also waste all the larva, end up with the SM exploding, and FF robust marines with AP rounds.

Not worth it. Regulars have hilarious unrobust mishaps all the time.

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

I feed upon all the bans given out.

Honestly though, its a nightmare for admins.

Some rounds I've resorted to feeding their corpses to the aliens because I just don't want to fucking see them cloned.

Cannon fodder.

Well I better make sure I don't die around you then, or you'll see my Extremely Bald Head and feed me to aliens.

Don't forget the joy of seeing pajama marines dragging corpses through the halls of the Sulaco. It's a guessing game with three possible answers:

1. Greytide is trying to take the corpse to medbay (even a .0000001% chance is still a chance)
2. Greytide is carting around their trophy
3. Greytide doesn't know how to stop pulling an object

Where do I get a license to tie up greytiders and use them as meatshields?

You forgot greytide are good excuses for an execution. They are proven great hosts for executions or executing them.

Long time ago, I, Ka'Torag-na Halkrath, Skilled Master Hunter Of Prey, Unleashed an unspeakable evil upon Xenos and Humans! But a foolish Xeno Hunter wielder of robustness stepped forth and opposed me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore a gate of Salt of Solitude and flung em into the world of CM, and took out their Facehugger Capabilities! Now, this Xeno Fool seeks to return the favour, and undo my evil reign and of many other predator predecessors!

SS13 with high population is amazing. It means the game will continue to last and the servers won't die anytime soon! Plus, SS13 is all about interaction. The more people, the more activity, means more the fun.

Graytide is the price ANY server pays in order to keep a healthy population.

You scoop out the shit, and keep the gems.

Whilst it may be frustrating when a baldie doctor is struggling to clone you, you can get a great sense of achievement when you finally get them to do something properly.

Yes, like the first time a frontal lobotomy test rat makes it through the maze.

We can rag on new players, but if they all disappeared tomorrow, this server would die.

Its a cycle- people come in, learn (or dont), and contribute to population.
