Win/loss tally

Post by KingKire » 01 Aug 2016, 13:50

Im just curious at whats the win-loss ratio really like, if its in our heads that "x" side wins or loses more than normal.

date and time of the round IRL ( give or take)
winning side:
Round duration:
winning side's numbers:

Any notable events that round (preds, Grey tide, SM exploded, one side was majority of new or experienced players, mutiny, early rush, etc.)

Date-Time: 8/1/16- 10:30am pac
Winners: marines
Round Duration: 2h 14m
Winning numbers: 51 marine total
Notable Events: (science/ med lab FOB) ( 4 squads cave assult at around the 60 min mark)
Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...

...

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

You may want to specify which map as well.

I'm neutral. Win rate is just one data point that should not be pointed to for an idea of balance.

Staff actually have an automatic log dedicated to seeing the results of each round. So, if you want this here to help us acknowledge ratios, it's an appreciated thought, but we already have a good idea of it.

It depends on the time of day. Normally on highpop the xenos win and on lowpop the marines win.

Yah, haha, i know they have the data stored up for the staff to look at, this is mostly just for me and whoever else might be interested on figuring out the ebbs and flows Or even just finding interesting pieces of thought that pop out when seeing the pictures and what not.

as for putting the map on, i think we switch the main maps once a week right? although i guess to be more thorough having the map listed would be a good point too.

Y/N, it should be looked at for balance, but it's more of a complement data point rather then a main point. Because any side winning more then 60% is can start feeling repetitive. Sadly though you can't focus heavily on this stat point because at the end of the day, marine skill varies heavily.

Both marine and xeno skill vary heavily from round to round, and a single robust spec or T3 can turn around the entire round.

Obviously staff has access for balancing, I worry about community salt if Xur takes a vacation and Xeno winrate breaks 80%.

Xenos should and are winning the majority of rounds so far. This is intentional as Aliens are supposed to be "stronger".
