Scenarios for the New (and Old) Commander!

Introductions! You've been signed up as a Commander of the NanoTrasen Military Vessel Sulaco, with a bunch of rowdy marines serving under you. Some of them are... not the brightest, but command them you must. However, you realize that you don't actually have a mission for them. Before you go out there and become intergalactically known as 'The-Commander-Who-Couldn't', take a second to read these ideas.

Mission Scenarios and their explanations

THE IDEAS LISTED BELOW REQUIRE LITTLE TO NO ADMIN/MOD INTERVENTION, BUT REQUIRE THEIR APPROVAL!

Search and Rescue: The station has gone dark due to a pirate raid of some sort, and the chance of injured civilians are high. This being a pirate raid as determined by a broken-up emergency transmission, a Medical Unit has been deployed along with the Strike Teams that normally operate on the Sulaco. The situation station-side is unstable, and the possibility that there are hostiles still on board is high. In addition, Life Support systems must be kept operational until the survivors have been evac'd, and the station damage has been taken into account.

Primary Mission Objectives (needed to be considered Mission Complete):
Secure Survivors and retrieve any dead bodies.
Terminate any hostile forces found.

Secondary Mission Objectives (optional objectives that may earn you brownie-points):
Set up the Singularity engine to provide Life Support systems with power.
Rescue the Heads of Staffs pets.

Squads Recommended:
1x Medical Unit with Phalanx support
1x Engineering Strike team (2 engies)
1x First Contact Squad (optional)
1x Strike Team (optional)

Search and Destroy: The station has gone dark due to unknown forces and has been deemed unrecoverable. Therefore, the marines aboard the Sulaco have been sent to scuttle things of importance such as research items, the Engine, the AI core, and the Communications Console in the Captain's Quarters.

Note: Search and Destroy missions from Commander Khan are not authorized unless permission has been received from another commanding officer.

Primary Mission Objectives:
Destroy the Communications Console in the Captain's Quarters.
Destroy the Engine.
Destroy the Consoles in the Research Director's office.
Destroy the AI core.

Secondary Objectives:
Rescue Lamarr.
Rescue Jones.
Evac Survivors.
Kill Ian.

Squads Recommended:
2x Anti-Material Squads (Optional, 1 squad)
1x Engineering Unit (optional)
1x Strike Team


Research Continuation: The research station Nostromo was very close to finding a cure to Gibbingtons, as well as various other life-threatening diseases. In fact, they were so close that an Active Research Team has been dispatched to finish the research. However, the station went dark for a reason and Central Command believes this is due to hostile intervention. Because of a possible containment breach, a medical unit has also been requested to monitor active units on the field. Research will be conducted in Virology, while the marines secure the entrance.

Primary Mission Objectives:
Synthesize a curable strain of Gibbingtons.
Bring the cure back to the Sulaco.

Secondary Mission Objectives:
Find the cure using Ian as a test-subject.
Bring back the cure for The Common Cold.
Retrieve Jones.

Squads Recommended:
1x Active Research Team
1x Medical Unit (optional)
2x Strike Teams

Note: All station-bound personell will need Gas Masks due to the chemically unstable nature of the mission. Make sure you can acquire them.
