Al' h'chak Setg'in (Deadly Far Sight)
Byond ID: Biolock
Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here): Alex Crossman
Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name): al' h'chak Setg'in (Far Sight- Derived from the rudimentary derivative of al'- Long, and h'chak- Eyes, and then finally the clan to which he belongs, Setg'in. Though in our human tongue it sounds better to reverse the clan name and his earned name; this is obviously irrelevant to the Yautja)
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor? Yessir!
Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background): Alright, brief, how brief?
Al' h'chak Setg'in, like all other Yautja, began his story without a clan, without blood, without a name. In his most early years as an unblooded, while not weak, he was not strong (relative to his species of course), nor was he swift like many of his brothers. He was, however, intelligent enough to realize this upon being thrust into his first hunt. After being dropped into what looked like a desert region, covered in rolling sand dunes and sharp tall pyramids which could only be achieved with the hands of thousands of workers, who's corpses would forever remain the fertilizer for this infertile land. Al' h'chak Setg'in knew what he must do to prove himself; no simple hunt would do, he would need to bathe in the Chitin of a Serpent, for if he did not, he knew the Elites, save the Elders, would never accept him as one of their own. These temples, they were known to house a number of the Serpents; numbers and strength unknown, but it was a hunt that no true Hunter would ever be able to turn away. Armed with nothing but four steel spears (having not been given a weapon with special, Chitin-resistant metals), he decided his best course of action would be to create some sort of trap in an attempt to even the odds.
Two moons worth of digging later, the trap would be ready. His trap lay just ten to twenty meters outside of one of the pyramids; armed now, with just a single spear, Al' h'chak Setg'in ventured inward. Having not been provided any sort of visor to tame his ultra-violet sight, Al' h'chak Setg'in was rendered nearly blind to the Serpent's movement, relying on his other senses, primarily sound, to attempt to locate one. /Fortunately/ for him, they had little trouble locating him, the scratching of their claws, the hissing and dripping from their maws... it betrayed their presence. Al' h'chak Setg'in lashed out into the dark, whipping the spear through the air, feeling the force from his blow bash against the solid skull of one of his prey, it wrenched back... and then lunged, knocking Al' h'chak Setg'in backwards, the two tumbled and coiled, both narrowly dodging each-other's attacks. The fight, Al' h'chak Setg'in, slowly lead outside towards his emplacement, dodging the Serpent's tail as it whipped and stabbed just inches from his exposed flesh. Finally a tail strike caught Al' h'chak Setg'in, smashing him backward, the Serpent sent a second tail attack, Al' h'chak Setg'in, using the force from the Hard Meat's strike, to grab the tail, fling the Serpent over his shoulder, and smash it downward into his ditch... where his other three spears sat, fatally impaling the honorable creature.
While normally Yautja use the skull of their hunt a the trophy, Al' h'chak Setg'in decided to take three trophies from this hunt, the skull, the entire tail, and then also; having slain a Serpent, and as customary in his clan, removing the Serpent's tongue, and using the internals to burn a flesh mark in his skull; this signified him as not only blooded, but as a successful hunter of the Yautja's most honorable prey.
His foresight earned him the title of "Al' H'chak" or "Long Eyes"
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)? As a player who would hopefully be whitelisted as a predator, I would take OOC into heavy account when choosing my target, being careful to never hunt the side that is losing (be it xeno or human). While that might fall into the honor category even though we consider each hunt by the individual not the "clan/ faction", it is good OOC consideration to not put either side at more of a disadvantage than they already are. Furthermore I take extreme interest in the mercy code of conduct, where my character would take excellent care to ensure the odds between who they're fighting are level, if that means not fighting a young runner, that means not fighting a young hunter; I would take care to try and only hunt those who are considered more than worthy hunts such as an Elite Serpent or a Marine who stands out as an individual challenge.
Why should we whitelist you? I believe myself to be a considerate and relatively well known player. I've very few infractions in my many years of playing both Space Station 13 and Colonial Marines, having both been a loyal member, having been here since before there were different load-out rooms, and a... part time staff member (though that in no way should effect me getting a whitelist, rather just to show my dedication).
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? Never
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? Nope
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor? Yes, I do.

Don't expect to be treated any different because I'm staff. Many thanks for the heads up though!

+1. The consideration for teams is well placed, and the story is good imo. You've seemed to be a competent player as well.

Re: Al' h'chak Setg'in (Deadly Far Sight)
Good application, the story doesn't go on for too long, but it's well-written and easily explains the backround of your predator, the playstyle is a bit generic, but it's done with good intentions. (Protip, T2s at Elite or above will wreck your face if they know what they're doing, Predator or not.)
I admit to not knowing you, but if other people do, then I'll give you the benefit of the doubt,
+1.

I've seen Alex couple of times before, he's a good player as a Marine. Although his face gets shredded sometimes...

I,ve enjoyed reading your application and foresaw what'd happen. Even then, it was well written and your intentions aren't anything extreme or underwhelming. I'll give you my +1 as it was overall a good application in my opinion.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Re: Al' h'chak Setg'in (Deadly Far Sight)
Now, my vote doesn't count for much since I'm just a member and I'm pretty much hated by staff.
But, it's good! The story was readable, though it didn't too much for innovation. Your play style is also, a bit eh. Pretty generic, but that's nothing. Good, Robust character and a great staff man! However, what scares me is the OOC part. This means you'll probably only go to get slaves or fight anyone who is known to be robust oocly. That's not exactly new, it'll be extremely awesome to get a newbie as a slave. And if the Unkown person is a good RPer, it'll be fun! You really shouldn't take OOC into account for your targets, sometimes it's fun to get the new people or the unrobust and Unkown. And remember, the only thing you know about those filthy meat bags, is well, nothing, when talking about honor. The only way to find out is observing.
They're many things to improve on, and many things done alright.
But I trust you. +1.

Thank you guys, very much appreciate it!
I try to be on as often as I can, but life comes first for all of us. I have a serious SS13 addiction that has no cure but to be chronically fed, so I try to keep my activity as high as possible.

The application itself is pretty solid. But must of my support comes from Biolock as a player. He's all around pretty mature and well composed.
+1 here. Only suggestion would be to specify your intended playstyle a little more.

To be honest, I don't really know the stigma surrounding predators as of now, whether players prefer a pred that hunts xenos or humans, but ultimately I don't intend on being very visible as a character. I don't really want to create a "splash" and I've no intention of making myself the round's protagonist or antagonist. I much prefer to be a side show, or... atmosphere (for lack of a better word). I don't want my character to be a red shirt baldy, but I also don't want my predator to fall into the "main character" category of the game. Does that make sense/ answer your suggestion?
Additionally, while I intend to 'play to win', that will be accompanied very heavily by what makes the round most entertaining to WATCH by the deadchat. If that means that someone gets to be a hero that round, so be it.
