I was sitting in the FOB looking up cat videos on youtube, when suddenly I heard a mine go off.

I quickly tabbed back over to BYOND when a Crusher had just broken our defences. It stomped and knocked 8 marines and SSD over.

Behind it was a horde of red and black, Runners pouncing people, Spitters burning men and women alive. Anyone could see all hope was lost.

Our SL was yelling about retreating as she threw down a OB before getting spitspammed to death. I was running back to LZ1 as the Rasputin was landing and saw a group of fresh marines from all different squads come charging out of it.

"FoB is lost!" I yelled, but they didn't seem to care. I saw a flash of sunglasses and facial hair among them, a red soul patch, a bandana, pimped out M41A rifles. The group was loaded up and ready to fight. I followed them but stayed back.

They ran into the horde of xenus and fired grenades, a warcry rising from their throats like none I had ever heard.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

The T3s were blasted into crit and finished off with 10mm fire, none of them used burst or AP.

One of them went down, a facehugger burying his full beard. He was still screaming the warcry under the hugger. The others stood around him shooting xenus as one pulled the hugger off and shook him up. He grabbed his rifle and went back to shooting, killing two more T1s.

The xenos began retreating, metavoiding the beeping OB in the process.

These screaming marines chased them to their last, running into the jungle still howling the warcry that will haunt my dreams.

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKKEN XEEEENOOOOOOOS

And they were gone. As fast as they had came. And they came like lightning...
