l'ulij-bpe h'chak (Mad Mercy)
Byond ID: DeadLantern
Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here): Kazimov Karamov but I usually play Xeno.
Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name): l'ulij-bpe h'chak
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor? Yes, read this one and the in-lore one a ton of times.
Character background (A very BREIF (Sorry bby, this one going to be long.) description of your predators background):
He drew breath in.
He hopped from the red bark, to a higher branch.
He exhaled out.
It broke, he fell down on the hard rock below.
He drew breath in, his chest swelling.
A serpent neared closer, it's tail high and swinging. Another one. And another. The now abomination of skin and flesh was ripped limb from limb from his clutches. No infecting, just death for him.
He exhaled out with strain.
l'ulij-bpe h'chak's mentor and brother, died on this first hunt gone wrong. He was supposed to just observe him, not die. He is dead. Dead as dirt. The serpents clear out, they don't know that l'ulij-bpe h'chak, the lowly young blood was watching. They scurry back into a cave. l'ulij-bpe h'chak reached to switch on his thermal sights, but hesitated, and dropped his hand. He could only watch the corpse, rotting and odor-filled. Only by three serpents. He did not think of questions, he only thought of what would be of the hard meat.
He did not breathe again.
After his first hunt, he grew an anger, a respect, a vendetta against the serpents. His next hunt was a fine once with a lone ooman colony. He couldn't stop thinking of the serpents.
Years passed, he grew into a 7'1 hulking beast.
He only hunted the soft meat. He never had the courage to roar back, and kill a serpent. He could not do it. He can not. The soft meat was a curious beast, scurrying around, infesting, multiplying with no strength or goal in mind. Puny creatures, with craftiness. No sense of honor in most. . . But a certain glee at electronics, and creativity. Traps, primitive guns and ships, small and blunt knives, and fleshy skin. All of this made a worthy opponent, for not they were known for their black skin, their whipping tails, no, their mind. Always crafting, always planning new ways of living. With such simple tools and only a branch in evolution, they could take down one of their own. He enjoyed them, festering around at his sight. Some of them were worthy and stood, some kneeled, some ran, most of them passed out.
He would grow to know this and nothing else. Only oomans. But the serpents...
Is it blasphemous? Is it sinful to the clan? Is this fear... Or... Or...
Was it a goal?
He was an odd Yatjua, he knew this. He doesn't use his cloak very often, using nature, gossip, communication, intimidation...
But none of that worked on a serpent!
Sure, it was easy to test the honor of the ooman, you simply need to intimidate or see if they run. Maybe a short fight, maybe a short killing of their others but...
Serpents have no honor!
He always sneaked upon the ooman, intimidated, communicated in vauge ways, using the nature as a tool of destruction, communication, and stealth. But how do you catch a serpent...
He would find out. There was a hunt, a hunt on a jungle planet, much like his brother's tomb. Green grass, sappy trees... Hm. It seems like there were softmeat buildings, and creations...
and an ooman ship... Interesting...
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?
He does not know how to hunt serpents well, he will use his same tactic for the soft meat as he does at first, but he shall learn. He won't use stealth very often with the xenos, huge strikes of honor and standing tall. No running away or cloaking unless nesesacry. For the T3s, he might make an exception.
For the oomans, he'd often use stealth of the trees and no cloaking at all, only to get away. He'd very quickly use sounds of the softmeat race and run around to frighten them. Test their honor, see if they run. Or he'd approach them up front after some stalking or none. Maybe a small fight or intimidation ought to determine their honor. However, if they shoot their little weapons is fine, but if they continue to fire he will strike them down. He will not strike down those with no honor or unable to fight unless they annoy him or hurt him. He will often assume good intentions with the oomans but, that is not always the case.
Why should we whitelist you?
I believe I am a very good roleplayer, as I have been doing basically since I could talk. I also am good at hiding and juking without fancy gadgets or weapons, so that might help in the actual mind of the character. I believe my pred is unique and cool, but I would understand if you deny mean due to lack of knowing me or proving my robustness in game. I know I can handle pred though, as a spicer. I love when game admins make specific gamemodes or make the game just more fun!
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
I know I have been banned once, but I do not know if it was in the last month and I looked for the ban, but I could not find it. I'll just say yes and be done.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Nope.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Yep. I fully understand it.
Hope you enjoy my application!

1+ Because my vote molds his character into being more aggressive towards marines.

It's a pretty cool topic. I like the idea of this, although the story could use refinement, I can let it pass. I really wish we had a way to trial people, see how they'd play out their character as a youngblood, then allow them to be judged.
For now, neutral. Good idea for the story, although a bit weak for writing. Formatting is a little odd and I know the name.

+1 Kazimov Karamov is an exceptional RPer
I say this as I've spectated him multiple rounds when he has played WY, survivor, MP and other RP related roles.

A few issues on the admin front with DeadLantern, However story is rather good and DeadLantern does some Good RP on the server. However, the few issues on the admin front give me cause for concern, as for this I'll being going for Neutral.

Re: l'ulij-bpe h'chak (Mad Mercy)
+1 to this, I haven't been around very long, but I personally liked the explanation for the playstyle, the backstory really added to the reason for this, and his goal to understand the xenos ways seems rather interesting, and would love to engage in a game of hide 'n' seek with said Predator, with me being a shit-scared GL Specialist and him probably laughing his dick off as I shoot grenades in every which way as he makes low-pitched growling noises.
Garth Pawolski, or is it Powalski?
Back in action.

Re: l'ulij-bpe h'chak (Mad Mercy)
We currently have a way to gauge other Predators' ability in combat, it's basic however.LordeKilly wrote:It's a pretty cool topic. As for the application, I'll leave it at neutral. The story is spell checked, and it's unique. However, the ban history makes me hesitant.

Denied.
Youre a bit too immature for this position.
As well, we have constant complaints about you almost every round.
Re-apply again later after improving your normal character.
