Choosing when to burst
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):So when you join as larvae you are still in the host, you decide when to burst from the marine so it can make some dramatic moments or makes things a bit easier for larvae spawning, because what happens loads is that a marine would burst in the med-bay surgery table or in the middle of a group of marines.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):It would lessen the amount of larvae dying on burst, and in turn makes people less salty about getting spawned killed.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):So when you click to spawn as xeno, or automatically spawn as a chest burster you will have to right click on the host and click burst, medics and doctors will still have the HUD symbol for unknown body, so that will be a counter for people camping in hosts for the whole round, and you can still extract the embryo using surgery
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):Bit of coding, still could have the same sound effect and animation for bursting, but instead of automatically bursting on a timer, you can select to burst.

Re: Choosing when to burst
This has been suggested before, and I'll give it a +1 again.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Re: Choosing when to burst
Reminds me of the one time I infected a survivor and after they convulsed, like, five times and still did not burst. It'd still inflict pain on the host, but that could be used to one's advantage.

There is grief potential. Someone spawned in a larva may choose never to burst and a doctor may remove it or the host may suicide. I think forced bursts are better.

If someone spawns as a larva with the intent to deny the hive a participating xeno, they can already do that just by not evolving or beelining to the nearest marine after burstingWarnipple wrote:-1

+1 from me for the potential to avoid being spawned in only to get immediately killed and forced to wait again if another chance to join even opens up
