People turning into doors, invisible ammo/boxes, bugged tiles etc.
Bug Description: A recent update seems to have really messed up the game for me. All ammo is now invisible and I can't interact with it (including shotgun boxes), people are occasionally turning into all types of doors (blue doors, two tile sliding doors, hidden doors, etc.), blood splatter shows up as a black tile, and who knows what else (I didn't stick around in game for long).
Steps to reproduce:
1. log in to game
2. try to vend ammo and notice the marine next to you is now a sentient door.
3. trip balls.
Steps I've already taken to try and fix:
1. restarted/reconnected
2. updated to byond beta
3. full BYOND reinstall, including my documents cache.
Game was working fine for me prior (august 26th). I've made no changes and installed nothing new on my computer since then.

I have that ammo problem but the door thing sounds terrifying.

Hardcore mode?
No doors -
Valve doors -
No ammo on machines -
(There are two or three SMG magazines here that we cannot see.)

Can you post what Byond version you're using if you're running into this issue? The specific version, with the numbers.

Surething, using 5.0 Public, version 510.1347
edit: was also present on the latest stable build, assuming that version refers to the beta.

How often do you run into this? When does it seem to happen?

This just started for me today, which is why I guessed it could be update related (nothing on my end has changed). I think within the 10-15 or so minutes I was on I saw at least a dozen players transforming into said doors, usually while moving/changing direction, then they'd switch back to normal. Was all on the Sulaco, never made it planetside.
The invisible ammo/bugged tiles from blood splatter was constant.

Looks normal on my side, Have you tried completely deleting the cache and redownloading it?

Are you using the Stable or Beta version of BYOND? Beta has issues on CM.

It sounds either like a byond version problem or something related to your rendering. Is it still happening?

Logged on to check and, everything seems to be working fine again! If some ninja fix was put in, props to whoever did that. If nothing was changed, I am baffled as to what exactly broke for me yesterday.forwardslashN wrote:It sounds either like a byond version problem or something related to your rendering. Either way, happy the game's back to normal.

No ninja fix. I've seen the graphics acting up after a major update, when using incorrect byond version, and when the computer is having rendering issues. Glad to know its resolved.JDresdin wrote:
