Summary:
The RO is an officer in his own right, and its weird that he doesnt receive a personal locker in his office. Its also weird that Cargo techs dont have a small locker they can all share somewhere in the cargo bay, which is one of the largest sections in the Sulaco bar the plane hanger.
Benefits:
Makes sense to continue the tradition. Every Sulaco personnel has their own lockers, why not zo-..cargo. Cargo should get lockers.
If spare equipment for new personnel is needed, bam, you got yourself extra stuff.
Details:
RO locker:
-Marine command headset
-Spare electrical Gloves
-Toolbelt (why does the RO spawn with a ammo belt?)
-Spare Clothes
-RO's specific items such as the labeler, etc.
CT locker:
-Cargo headset
-Toolbelt
-Satchel
-Hat
-Clothes
(Possibly include a small wall safe for the RO to use, scince he's in charge of equipment. Not as important as the CO, nor as secret as the CL)

Yeah, I can see why it's weird that RO doesn't have one. RO office is massive at the moment anyway, I'm sure this sort of thing could be squeezed in.

So, I like the locker idea itself, but as the potential 5th in command, you are not an engie and honestly should have nothing to do with engineering parts save for maybe making some from the autolathe or ordering them and handing them out. You are an officer not a technician. Stop trying to hack things as that sets a bad example to marines when your supposed to be one of the higher up staff setting an example. Just sounds a little power-gamey to me. -1 only in so far as giving officers the bonus job of getting to also be a maint. technician.
