On average, how many hours are you available per week to moderate?
Usually to like in the morning to like late at night.

Do you have any previous experience in being staff (not just SS13)?
Well no...this is technically my first staff app i've ever made.

Did you play any of the previous Colonial Marine servers?
I haven't though they might have been fun considering what i've heard.

What other servers do you play on?
I've played on hippie usually when i'm bored.

What are the 3 biggest servers you play on besides CM?
I haven't actually played many other servers but Hippie is probably one of them.

Have you had an application to Colonial Marines before?
Nope.

Are you currently a staff member elsewhere (not just SS13)? If so, where?
Nope.

Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines?
Nope.

Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on ANY server? If so, where and When (roughly)?
Nope.

Are you familiar with the chat program Slack (its use is required)?
Well sort of.

Common Staff Situations:
Write a description of what you would do in each situation (BELOW) the situation. If you start it on the same line, I'll assume you can't follow directions and auto-decline your application.



1. A player is firing his weapon in the briefing area near the start of the round.
See if there was proper escalation if not then may consider it grief and pm them after knocking them out asking what was the cause for that and may let them off with a warning considering if they haven't been banned before with a previous offence.


2. The Sulaco has a breach to space.
Should be a pretty basic patch job with a ic announcement and or ooc announcement depending on if whoever caused the breach intended to or not afterwards maybe letting them off with a warning depending if they intended to breach or not.

3. The marines want the nuke codes because they claim they are losing too many marines. There are currently 4 aliens and 20 marines in your /who.
Heads and Above only can give nuke codes so i can't help them with that, Afterwards reply simply denying the request and maybe give a bio scan depending on how long the round has gone.


4. A Sulaco researcher has made several napalm grenades and hands them out to marines. One of the marines throws the grenade into Logistics. There are no admins or other moderators online.
Pm the marine throwing the grenade into logistics asking for their reasons onto why they did that in the first place and most likely hand a ban. Length may depend if they have had previous offences on the same subject.
Afterwards Pm the researcher and talk to him about the marine that grief'd with a research grenade and maybe let them off with a warning or job-ban depending on the situation.


5. A played is starting to talk about the things he did with your mom last night over Ahelp.
Personally i wouldn't care what they would say so i'd just ignore them.


6. You notice a marine with a name that doesn't fit our naming rules.
PM them to change their name and refer them to the rules.

6a. The marine is arguing that: They've used the name for several years, noone has told them to change it before, and that they didn't know it was a rule.
Re-link the rules to them and tell them which one was the rule for names and if he gets aggressive take him out of the round afterwards.


7. You see a Sulaco Doctor with an M41A rifle strapped to his back running around the briefing area. There are wounded in medbay, and the other doctor is in surgery.
Pm him and link him to the rules and ask him to drop the weapon and or do a IC announcement about said doctor.


8. You see a Squad Medic performing surgery on the planet. He claims it was because there were no doctors in the FOB.
Ask him to seal whichever patient the medic is doing surgery on and evac him to the sulaco or hes getting a job-ban.


9. The round is stagnating. There are 30 marines and 4 aliens. The marines won't leave the Sulaco, and the aliens won't attack. What would you do, to "encourage" the sides to engage each other?
Bioscans and a IC announcement to maybe get them going.


10. The round ends, and a marine starts unloading his weapons on other marines.
Ban for three hours since EORG is never allowed.


11. A marine who has recently awoken is using soap to slip other marines.
Usually not a issue unless the marine becomes a problem and i get a pm about said marine.


12. A marine has killed another marine. When you ask him why, he said it was because the other marine had punched him.
Talk to both involved and ask them if they escalated properly if it was bad said killer will warned and or banned due to previous offences and the one killed will be healed or Icly cloned.

I'm honestly really worried.

I really enjoy you in game, by I do have a few problems with some of your answers.

2. You don't really explain what you would do to handle the breacher themselves, which is kinda important in the situation.

4. You dont mention talking to the Researcher at all. Researchers are also responsible for grenades used for griefing.

6a. If he just questions it, there's no need to remove him from the round, but if he gets out right insulting and argumentative, then you have a problem there.

7. This I actually like. I would love to see a kind of IC response to this situation occasionally instead of just staff intervention.

Pretty much everything else is good, and all the stuff I mentioned above is stuff that can be handled in trial. +1

I'm gonna throw my +1 in here, I haven't ever had to deal with you in game so I can tell you are a good player despite never interacting with you besides seeing you on the forums. Speaking of which you are very active on the forums which is always nice to see. Hope to see you in the trial period.
