RO Paperwork

Post by Warnipple » 11 Sep 2016, 19:21

If you're playing RO and you want to be a dick and make marines do paperwork then at least give them a prewritten form. Ensure that you have plenty of forms, plenty of pens available in the line too.

Don't be surprised if you get brigged for insubordination and/or executed because this is a real dick move to do.

Here is a form that you can make to have marines sign it.

Code: Select all

[small][center][b]Cargo, Requisitons. Form for weapon attachments.[/b]

Form C27
Cargo Operations Form[/center][hr]Facility: USS Sulaco

Weapon*: [field]

Requested attachments.

Attachment 1*: [field]

Attachment 2: [field]

Squad Leaders and Specialists only.
Attachment 3: [field]

Reason for selected attachments: [field]

Signature*: [field][/small]

Fields marked with * are required.
An added suggestion. Have your CT's either handle the line or get more pens for the line. Extra pens can be found in the rooms below medical, at medical and security. You need to be spamming forms.

Probably because there was not enough paper or pens to go around. Thats one of the main issues with ordering paperwork as RO.

Huh. Just go to the MP office, they have several. Also some lurking well-hidden in medical.

Eh, I dunno, I think this could be streamlined a little more to make it easier to work with and faster.

Why not give all marines a PDA so they can pull a pen out?

Partly since the PDA whilst their ID card is in it, although it doesn't have the turrets open fire imminently upon them, it disables friend fire avoidance upon those turrets to smart guns last I've recalled. So anytime it's firing to hit some hostile it detects or your smart gunner specialist attempts to fire past you upon hostiles; the rounds would hit you so long your id/dog tags are within that PDA.

Maybe that bug could be fixed.

I remember when the RO made the marines write forums....I may have looked the other way when they jumped the counter and beat him senseless.

I have only played MP once, and on that occasion we had the lord of all bad RO's. I have his process listed below.
1) GIve marine a "Paperwork Request Form*"
2) Have marine fill out "Paperwork Request Form"
3) Give marine "Weapon Attachment Form**"
4) Have marine fill out "Weapon Attachment Form"
5) Inform marines they can only have one attachment***

*Marines had to fill out this form, to get the form they needed to request attachments. It also required a signature from a SL, and the CO.
**This form had space to request more than one attachment. If you requested more than one, he would tell you that you can only have one. After telling you this he would deny your form, if you wanted to try again you had to fill out another "Paperwork Request Form"
***This applied to everybody no matter the rank. The RO counted EVERYTHING as an attachment, if you requested anything it counted as an attachment.

After about five minutes of this, the RO ran out of paper. He decided that marines had to bring their own paper if they wanted attachments. At this point the CO finally arrived and told the marines to calm down and do what the RO said. A Specialist finally asked for partners in mutiny, I was one of the people who agreed. We followed mutiny procedure, the CO refused to stand down. When all the dust cleared the XO (Who had helped with the mutiny) took command. After the XO had fired the RO gotten everybody attachments, and done the briefing, we went down to the planet. Unfortunately we had spent so much time bickering on the sully, that the marines had to deal with Mature T3s immediately. After a few minutes Elite T3's started popping up. The marines who still had to follow RP, were quickly decimated. The icing on the cake, watching the former RO trying to fight of an Ancient Crusher with an M4A3.

Long story short, DO NOT BE A PAPERWORK RO!!!

RO's who force paperwork on marines are literally some of the lowest forms of scum. I personally see it as legal griefing.

I peronally think that it should never come to that because the CO, or XO SHOULD tell the RO no paperwork

It's more of a part of being a corporate bureaucrat. If you're going to do something like that, you might as well be the CL.

Paperwork RO's make mp rounds god tier. Had to hold off 25+ pissed off marines trying to lynch him while the RO refused to evacuate. Only way to end the situation after it became to fucked was to arrest the Ro and drag him down the back ladder to get him to brig, fighting on murderous marines all the way. Shortly after more mp's joined, fought thiet way into cargo and took control of distribution.
