Locker bolting / unbolting

Post by Sarah_U. » 11 Sep 2016, 21:35

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Allow for lockers bolting / unbolting.
Allow for unbolted lockers to be pushed over.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
It'll GREATLY HELP with redesigning the ship or areas of the map, as lockers are often an hindrance to newly made navigations and paths.
Lockers are actually hindering chances to re-design the ship and having them moved about would provide with more tactical, strategic and gameplay options that would flavour the game.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Unbolting a locker allows it to be moved around, but a quick tackle (optionally any intent) from a xeno will shove it over, forcing it open on its side.
A locker can be bolted / unbolted using a wrench or another method of your choice, allowing it to be moved (OPTIONAL: Unbolted locker can't hold items).

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
[N/A]

PS: I know it's intensive considering the amount of lockers present, but the base method is an example and I'd love it to be inserted in some way. Otherwise introducing a way to REBUILD lockers would be wise (Optionally allowing airlock electronics or something to make them secure).
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Orbital drop strategy? (ODSt).
Give them health and explode them on landing, gibbing the people inside.

Minor detail, but not a bad one to implement. I could see someone desperately bolting lockers to the floor in a row to slow down an assault. Good for further redesign efforts, too.

You couldn't send lockers in launchpad, because they only take crates. It was even before lockers were bolted to ground.
