Drake cmon! Nooo!

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Have xeno's combat caste explode into acid gibs that spray everything in a 3 tile radius.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Atleast attempt to be a bit closer to xeno lore? And it'd be funny watching someone melee kill a xeno and get a fullbody acid shower.

Lore friendly explosion into gibs. It's a tad anticlimactic to shoot a Ravager until it lays down and dies. Have Ravs, Crushers, and Hunters violently explode into acidic gibs that fuck shit six ways from sunday when they finally get put down as a final evolutionary "Fuck you" to the thing that killed them.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Probably just as additional line of coding but damned if I know.

I'd make it a random chance of killing xenos to about 5-10% chance of gibs and acid.

Problem with this is that i won't be able to cuckshot aliens at point blank range, so, -1 from me, +1 if cuckshotting aliens at point blank also throws them away from you to a safe distance where they can explode and not harm me that much.

Xenos explode due to explosive rounds, flammable substances for certain castes and actual explosives. Ravagers actually slop over upon death as their metabolism and chittin are different and it wouldn't work... So to shorten it up, make runners explode when put on fire ;)
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

One of the crusher's weaknesses IS melee, since it can't deflect knife blows, and if you swarm it at a good time, you could overwhelm it.

Making it so that melee is no longer viable would be a tad rough for marines when dealing with crushers.

I disagree about it being weak to melee (except with the qualifier "relative to bullets from the front") though surrounding it while the stomp is down is more effective than for hunters or ravagers due to them being more mobile.

Back to the suggestion, I feel like this would just deny marines a lot of research material.

As much as i would like I think it should only be with flamethrowers, maybe incendiary rounds also. But it should not gib with regular shotgun and rifle shots.

Buckshots should gib, Smartguns, rockets, maybe even Pulse rifle ammo.

This makes sense lore wise but mechanically it would be quite the Alien buff, unless this is paired with some other mechanics to combat this, it's a -1 from me.

We didn't do the explosion acid death because of balance reasons; you can take damage when getting hit by the blood in other circumstances though. Denied for now.
