Slashing a dead marine to disable any lights on the marine.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Allow the xenos to have some coded thing where if an alien clicks on a dead marine with an empty hand it'll take some time but the lightsources on said marine will be broken afterwards, think of it as an alien looking for the lightsources on the marine and then smashing them (But coding wise it would probably be like attaching an attachment to a gun. Click gun with attachment, wait, profit.Instead with this it would be Click dead marine with an empty hand, wait, profit.) Alternately it could just be some messy strike accross the marine to disable all of them instead of searching for the lightsources.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Means that xenos don't have to move dead marines away from the frontlines which wastes their time when they could be doing other things instead with what this suggestion proposes they can just easily click on a marine to disable/break the lightsources and go back to doing what they want to do.Basically a quality of living improvement for aliens and marines.

This raise questions, is it possible to fix light source after marine got exctracted to Sulaco? Broken shoulder lamp? What with flashlights in pockets, rail flashlights on guns? So many questions...

It would break all lights on said dead marine i.e shoulder lamp, flashlight/flare if in pocket and the rail light.
Any and all lightsources will be broken by this, to repair them you will most likely need a fresh light bulb and to take out the old one ( Can only take out the light bulb in the item when said item has been broken this way)
In regards of marine armour it gives a reason to replace it.

Albeit this will probably help with dragging dead marines away, it also won't at the same time as the systematic gutting of every dead marine occurs which replaces what devouring did. Removing bodies for clonning.

My suggestion in this vein is to have them spit up some resin onto the lights, Like how they secure you to a nest. Then you can just resist the resin off if you weren't actually dead or something.

+1, would prefer they just turn off the light instead of shredding it since... speshul donor spirit armor, but either way, it's a good idea.

Seriously, Change the suggestion from slashing to spitting up resin all over it and enabling resist to pull the crap off your armor and fix your light.

The problem is then why don't aliens spew resin over floodlights instead of slashing them and they break the lights instead of covering the. I think that if the resin over the marine covering the lights would fall off overtime as the marine moves/struggles in a nest which then needed to be re-applied would be a nice way of a work around if it's applied while a marine is living.(could also be taken off with resist like you said Suro but it would also end up falling off over time and would need re-applying)
