Hand disabled

Post by CupcakesforKhorne » 25 Sep 2016, 10:02

Bug Description: This has happened twice to me. I get my hand broken, splinted, surgery to repair it. And then It doesn't work. Every time I try to use it I get "You try to move your hand, but cannot!". Medical scans say that there's nothing wrong with you, your splints are gone, and the only way to fix it is to lop your arm off, and get a prosthetic. Admin from the first time It occurred told me it sounded like a bug, so here we go.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Get your hand broken
2. Get your hand splinted
3. Get your hand fixed
4. Be unable to move your hand

Next time you can't move your hand and get that message of "You try to move your hand, but cannot!", tell the docs to put you in cryo.

The doc was probably not experienced enough to know that your hand was deformed. Cryo fixes it. This probably isn't a bug. Deformation occurs when you get cloned sometimes or when put into a stasis bag.

I had been neither cloned, nor cryobagged either time. So still sounds like a bug to me

I've seen this happen recently as a doctor. It was just a regular bone repair surgery. Nothing unusual upon examining them, no splint although the patient said they'd been splinted, nothing wrong on the advanced scanner, and I believe I tossed them in cryo for good measure.
Aka Dennis Hunt the (usually) overworked medic/doctor.
Currently AWOL due to my computer dying.

This fucking bug needs to be squashed. It's a damned maggot in the brain by now.
