Crawling.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Give both aliens and humans the ability to crawl when they're in critical condition. (Unable to stand up and walk-run)
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Gives a false hope of salvation and a very -little- chance to crawl into your friends to be helped out.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): When you're in critical, your character is unable to stand or move AT ALL.. you need to get pulled by someone else, but, why not being able to crawl slowly (square-per-square) to somewhere else? i mean, both parties have arms with fingers/claws that can dig in floor and push..
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): By clicking. when you're in critical, just click the tile next to you and the character will move with the next message: "XXXX crawls on the ground".

I mean...when your in crit you are unconscious so it somewhat doesn't make too much sense, unless of course you have picture evidence of unconscious people that crawl through the floor I can't really see how this would make sense. Though it would be nice if this is possible when you fall down from losing an arm or leg but are still conscious ingame then you'd still be able to crawl? that there would then make more sensewhatarewordseveniforgottomakewordshelp.

I give it a solid +1. It's painstakingly horrible being in paincrit or regular crit and just laying there staring at yourself be a helpless little cunt.CookedPenguin wrote:I mean...when your in crit you are unconscious so it somewhat doesn't make too much sense, unless of course you have picture evidence of unconscious people that crawl through the floor I can't really see how this would make sense. Pretty good idea honestly, +1
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

As a marine, there are some occasions you end in a perm-critical state, concious and unable to move (80% of the time because you get your shit slashed out) .. and aliens get in critical after receiving too much bullets, still, they can recover from it but if you don't have any sister there to pull you out of the fire you're dog meat.CookedPenguin wrote:I mean...when your in crit you are unconscious so it somewhat doesn't make too much sense, unless of course you have picture evidence of unconscious people that crawl through the floor I can't really see how this would make sense. I mean to say that in terms of immersion it's kind of weird that you can do majour physical movements whilst your unconscious let alone crawling. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea since I myself would love this added since gameplay wise it would be interesting to have some sort of "false hope" as Heckens said. I am an masochist.
Also I forgot to include the fact that you can still be conscious whilst facedown on the ground even while critted mainly because of pain from the slashing.Heckenshutze wrote: As a marine, there are some occasions you end in a perm-critical state, concious and unable to move (80% of the time because you get your shit slashed out) .. and aliens get in critical after receiving too much bullets, still, they can recover from it but if you don't have any sister there to pull you out of the fire you're dog meat.

Re: Crawling.
Actually crawling is in the game. You just need to have no legs.

Could this be edited? If so, then hooray you won't have to saw your legs off with a bayonet in order to crawl!SecretStamos (Joshuu) wrote:Actually crawling is in the game. You just need to have no legs.
If that can't be edited, out with the old and in with the new, +1.

Re: Crawling.
+1 to crawling for marines, but make it so it occasionly worsens wounds as if you're getting dragged (but not as often as you'd more careful with your own wounds while crawling). Even crawling one square can be a lifesaver, and the immersions from seeing dying marines crawlin around would be amusing.
Xenos shouldnt have this though, imo. A crit xeno is unconscious, and they need every incentive to work as a team as possible (also all xenos need are weeds for full heal anyways).

Duplicate, and the original thread was denied. Up to someone else's discretion, however.

Re: Crawling.
Duplicate. We cannot do crawling right now, but when or if we can, we'll look into it. Resolved.
