Ajn'y Quatza-Rij (Littie Eye Quatza-Rij) Reapplication
My last application was denied because I wasn't playing on the server after I posted it.
The differences between my previous application and this one are minor, as I still wish to play the same character and my philosophy regarding predators has not changed.
I've also expanded on Ajn'y's background, namely her fascination of sapient prey.
Due to my renewed interest in Space Station 13, I will continue to be an active community member on the forums and in-game.
Byond ID: Nick123q23
Marine Name: Ayla Harrow. I still try to play an equal amount of both alien and marine.
Name of the character you want whitelisted: Ajn'y Quatza-Rij
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor? I've checked the Code of Honor again, and I remain familiar with it. Having also observed a number of predators and played as a Hellhound, I will say that I am familiar with the Code of Honor, both the Forums Code of Honor, and the lore Code of Honor.
Character background: Ajn'y Quatza-Rij of the clan Quatza-Rij, named after the beast of the same name, is a fresh unbloodied straight out of her trials, notable for her disagreement on the orthodox view that the Serpents are the pinnacle of prey. Although worthy, Ajn'y believes that there must be other, tougher opponents to fight that have yet to be discovered.
She has an interest in sapient prey, prey communicate with each other and have their own special hierarchy and civilized infrastructure.
Ajn'y believes that, although strong and powerful, Serpents are not individually intelligent besides a Queen, and cannot adapt to different tactics and stratagems without being able to think for themselves.
Intelligent prey may be organized in their own ways, such as the humans and their squads. To be able to meet these prey, warriors, even, on the fields of battle and out-maneuvering them either alone or with a hunting party is the greatest achievement one can have (especially with plenty of trophies lining your belt.)
Observed during her trials, Ajn'y is very careful prior to engaging her opponent, identifying chokepoints, exits, and then her strategy becomes very aggressive, rushing to kill the prey with combistick or wrist gauntlets.
She prefers to experiment and adjust her equipment depending on the environment and scenarios she expects, as such her loadout will never be the same for every hunt.
How do you intend to play your predator?
From what I've been hearing people say about predators, they really, really despise anyone who "helps" marines or aliens, unintentionally or not. As a predator player I plan to stay on my own side and not interfere in major battles, picking off stagglers during stagnant times. Of course, if the aliens are near-extinct, I would fight to keep them alive to an extent, by challenging the marine SL or equivalent to a duel if possible. My main goal here would be to act as a "balancer," targeting the most numerous side to keep the battle even.
Ajn'y herself is more of an observer, a stalker. So I would be watching events unfold, looking for the strong prey, rather then attempting to kill the first thing I see.
The game isn't about predators, it's about the marines and aliens. A Predator is much like an antag, their responsibility is to keep the game interesting for everyone else, not take the fun all for themselves.
The goal of any SS13 round is the create a glorious story.
A story about brave marines answering the distress call of a colony overrun by hostile aliens, landing and meeting initial success, only to end for the hostile aliens and marines alike to be slaughtered by the bushel from a third group of hostile aliens would not be a very good story, would it?
Matching my character's backstory, most interactions I plan to have will be with marines, although I will hunt xenomorphs aswell.
Why should we whitelist you?
Colonial Marines should have more impartial yautja players, and more yautja players in general, now that the applications are open.
My roleplaying stems from the scenarios my characters find themselves in, and how they react to it, and what the scenario does to them as a person.
I also wish to think I'm a good community person in general, though I go on and off for activity depending on what I feel like playing at the time.
With my intentions on playing such a powerful role, and with honest amounts of self-moderation, I believe I am suited to such a role.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason?
Negative.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
None that I'm aware of, no.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Yes, I understand that any player, donator or not, can have their whitelist status revoked should they disobey the Server Rules or the Code of Honor

You've got 5 post since June of this year.
I'm really not seeing an improvement in activity what-so-ever from you since your last denial?

My activity has only started ramping up again since last week. I use the shout box more often than the actual forums aswell.

So why would you make a new application after only just returning to game?
Especially considering you haven't been active for many months now.
You kind of shot yourself in the foot, again.

Why wouldn't I? I used to play on and off every other week or so. I know what has been updated and what hasn't.

The application is concise and to the point; and though it doesn't have the narrative flourish that some others do, I do find myself liking it.
However, I haven't really seen much in-game activity by you myself, though I am aware you have been playing. I'll do my best to keep an eye out for you in the days to come, but until them I must abstain with a firm neutral.

The story of Edgardo and A Guy Named Squid. Good read. Greentext ahoy. - https://1d4chan.org/wiki/The_Ballad_of_Edgardo

I appreciate your post, Northcote. I'll be playing in the American CST afternoons most of the time and keep improving my activity.

Should add that I'm playing a new character, Miranda Petrarch. I've separated Ayla Harrow into the enlisted roles and Petrarch will be for the commissioned roles.

I appreciate the feedback, freemysoul, but I've never seen you either, and I've been playing a lot recently.
Perhaps it is because of a timezone difference?
