Improper Escalation

Post by DMAN » 11 Oct 2016, 23:57

Your Byond ID: DMAN777

Character Name: Damian Wal

Type Of Ban (Job-ban, Timed Ban, Permaban):3 Day

Admin who banned you (if known): Infant Punter

Total Ban Duration: 3 days

Remaining Duration: Doing this off the bat, so 3ish days still.

What other servers do you play on? None.

Are you now or have you been banned on any of them? No.

Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): http://puu.sh/rG3u8/e0f405d215.png

Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable): Nil.

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): I was in the line as the RO said one attachment only and a marine climbed over and immediately punched the RO, so I climbed over and was screaming about rioting. Turns into shoving and punching and a little scuffle. Eventually an MP arrives and furthers it with another marine and I disarm them and such. Eventually through all this the RO starts stabbing me with a screwdriver, so being attacked by a screwdriver and bleeding and shit I shoot him down. I didn't give him the courtesy of pulling out a pistol to shoot me, so that makes it horribly improper. I understand the progression of escalation and I didn't really have a knife and I didn't want to use my rifle in melee since I didn't want to lose it, so I did skip that step.

So, what was I supposed to do, let it go on until I died? Why couldn't I do this? Why does this common sense have to be improper escalation? I'll be sure to give them the courtesy of shooting me with a gun before I do so back I guess, if that's what's absolutely needed in these situations. I think 3 days for a round that was then destroyed by DS and ended fast is meh, but if it were a long round not admin bused it would mean we'd be cloned and I'd be brigged. I get the proper escalation aspect, I really do. I didn't have the damned means that'd do damage or makes sense to further it in melee, I didn't want to lose my firearm/s(I may have had two, I can't recall at the moment).

Anyways, could I have this shortened to 3 hours or any less, I don't care. Hell, a whole lift would be awesome. I doubt this will be lifted, and it very well might be left for the three days, but this opens up on proper escalation and the dynamics of that. I would appreciate this being taken seriously and any relief from this, thanks.

Denied.

I was just on for this and witnessed most of it.
You just came back recently from another ban and you're still causing problems.

Just to let you know now, you're under probation due to the massive amount of notes, warnings and bans you've received in the last 2 months alone.
Probation will last 1 month from the day you return. All warnings will be automatic bans and any bans will result in a perma-ban on you.

You seriously need to relax and settle down in-game.
