Fix the Xeno Evolution Chart/Add More Evos/Fix Sprites

Summary:
Repair an incorrect Evo Chart and Add more Evos. Add more Xeno Variety. Replace the current Rav/Carrier Sprites with those akin to AVP: Extinction.

Benefits:
Gives players more options than the ones presently available. Repairs broken canon issues. Provides more RP options.

Details:
As it stands, the current Xenomorph Evo Chart is broken. It has Praetorians evolving from Sentinels and not having any further evolutions, when it's long been widely accepted as canon that Praetorians evolve from chestbursters that are planted by PraeHuggers. It's also been canon for sometime that Prae's are the stage that evolve into the Queen, and so they should retain this evolutionary bonus.

There are theorized to be two specific lines of Xeno. Transbreed and Purebreed.

Current Transbreed Xenos: Regular Eggs
Drones
Warriors
Hivelord
Runners
Crusher
Sentinels
Spitter


Current Purebreed Xenos: Praetorian Eggs
Praetorian
Ravager
Carrier
Boiler
Queen


Implementation:
Separate the two above groups of xenos in the code, give them their own evo charts, and start the map out with a set number of both types of eggs.

Drone>Warrior
Runner>Crusher
Sentinel>Spitter


Praetorian>Any of the Purebreeds

Then, give the Queen the option to lay both types of eggs, though the PraeEggs would still be limited by Hivepopcap. This could prevent randomized Evolution and seriously control hivepop, in the event that the Queen's HiveManifest idea falls through.

The RP from this would also make it easier to establish a chain of command, as at present, you have drones talking back to Boilers and Sentinels trying to tell Ravagers to hold a line/defend, when that really isn't their job. The Ayys CoC is so disordered right now by Tier that half the Xenos are giving orders when they should be following orders.

This would create the Low/Elite class castes, where in Transbreeds only have control over their lowers, while Purebreeds are all on the same level, with the Queen being at the top.

As far as adding variety to Ayys, I don't have any specific ones, outside of Snek and PredAlien (though if PredAliens exist, my bad. I have yet to see one).

The thing about changing the sprites is just a vanity idea. I love the designs of the Rav and Carrier from AVP:Evolution, compared to the basicl recolors we currently have of the Hivelord for both.

As a xeno main, I really question what you think this will actually add except complexity and why you think canon is important to begin with.

Aliens Xenogenesis is canon. It's a piece of shit.

Haven't played Xenogenesis, so I don't know what that brings to the table.

As far as canon goes, that's like asking why tradition is important. It's alright to change it up a bit here and there, but tradition is tradition for a reason. It stands well and holds together. It works. (Provided it's an actual tradition worth having).

The Xenocastes are setup to maintain power-structure in the Hive. Granted, if this were actual Ayys, power-structure wouldn't matter that much, because no one would step out of line. I'm suggesting this because unlike the Marines, the Aliens CoC still gets muddled. People still can't agree on whether or not Hivelord/Carrier are T2/3, despite the evo chart saying it's T3. Ravs and Crushers end up following the orders of hunters and spitters, because they either don't know any better, or don't care.

With the Twin Breed system, you have that defining line to help people better understand it. Praetorians don't take orders from Transbreeds. It's the other way around. By having the Twin Breeds, you'll have less confusion there, and more order. (Or at least, I hope. Then again, that might be asking a lot.)

I really love the idea of new evo charts. Many drones at the start can help the growth of hive, because now we have a billion runners going for ravagers. But new evo lines, different egg types - possibility to ruin the game from the start. Almoust every round I see runners, doing nothing, just waiting to evolve as soon as they can. And Drones... they need 500 ticks to evolve, when new larva born in about 400-450 ticks, so hive loses hivelords or carriers that way

I want to stress the fact that, while we might borrow aspects from AvP Extnction, it is not something we really recognize as canon.

The closest thing to a primary source we use is the movie Aliens (1986). Even then, we vary a bit.

We don't use the designs from AvP Extinction because they're a bit eccentric and out of place. That being said, we do have plans for the T3 sprites, but we have a lot of things on deck. I can only work so fast.
