Post by McRipfist » 01 Nov 2016, 16:42

Bug Description:
Playing as survivor and I get pounced. They try to hold me down but I start running and make it a few tiles but get devoured anyways. This happend twice and fucked me over for that round because I bursted the moment they dropped me into the hive and could not be recovered.

Steps to reproduce:
1.Be human mob.
2.Get pounced and allow devour to begin timer but run away.
3.get eaten anyways.

This issue seems to be existent when it comes to throws too; I can telekinetically toss someone after they've moved outside of my reach.

I'd normally put it down to Sur's psychic powers but it turns out everyone can do it.

same happens when you man handle someone in aggressive grab. You can let them run away for 5 tiles and troll them with manhandles. Probably due to Bay's shitty tick-rate.

Can confirm this works when playing as Xeno. All you need to do is stand still after you start devouring. But then again, if the human can stand up and run, you wouldn't want to devour him, cause you'd get reverse-bursted..

The only unfair part is when another marine drags an unconscious marine away from a devour.. that marine will magically end up in the belly of the Xeno.

This has to do with the tick rate on the server, it's not just Baycode, it's prominent on TG as well, though not as bad. I don't actually think there's a way to fix this issue; besides, I kinda like it.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

It's an easily fixable issue. The range isn't being checked when the devour actually takes place.
