Remove space slip

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Remove space slipping, OR allow walk to remove it completly.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Allows for less annoyance in space for several players, making them return to the game faster.
Allows for more space stuff to happen, after-all we're in it so why not use it.
Finally, it'll have various effects that will be benefitial for gameplay and strategies, such as allowing ease while developping sollar arreys and reduced jetpack usage.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Think of it as carefully gripping on external supports, handles, whatever. Simply allow for ease of movement if the person is careful and if they're dumb well... Allow them to simply fall through space and FEEL dumb.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Comment the line for slipping or add a line to turn it off and on if head+
Or, put a condition that validates if the player is walking.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

This really only applies to aliens honestly when they hide in space by Eva or try and go round the Sulaco which imo shouldn't be a thing as normally they take out the apc and open the doors then place resin doors on top to 'stop' the venting and then tempt marines to breach.

Honestly if you're going Into space as a human just either take the jetpack or metal rods, as for being an alien in space there's really no point.

Thing is, space walking even as an human does make you slip a lot. Unless I'm mistaken it's really just that aliens get an higher slip chance or something.
But yea, the thing is that aliens sometimes get vented in space, or get to run outside EVA because they have no other options and were tasked to live, etc.

Allowing that would make space aliens AT LEAST have a chance to come back, and humans a better mobility to do their own things without having to rely on jetpacks and wasting their supplies of metal rods. (Metal is hard to come by)
Seriously, I want a solar array to power medbay one day Q_Q

PS: Humans vented in space are a thing too, having a chance to gasp your way back in and crawling in would be better than slipping and feeling the ultimate rage.

am I the only one who read this as "remove space ship"? anyway this can be really annoying at times when your so close to the door and you slip and die.+1 from me

Yes, space walking does make you slip as a human but if you're going into space as a human there are jetpacks and metal rods, although as you rightly said it does potentially waste resources; so would setting up solars for a small gain. Imo space aliens just shouldn't be a thing currently as it's really damn cheap to hold out in eva and as soon as marines come in either vent the place or stand on a closed resin door to get marines to shoot it and boom a breach. (Or any of the other marine tempting issues.) The latter can be fixed by staff but the former isn't an 'issue' so that isn't normally and as such marines get wiped by eva and then escape gets screwed over atmos wise, this is what i'm afraid would happen alot more frequently if space slipping was removed as there would be no deterrence from going into space besides having no weeds which can be easily rectified.

Either way I'll probably be neutral/leaning to -1

Very fair point, although xenos would need to INTENTIONALLY bait a breach, which in my opinion is powergaming, partially dickish and extremely cheap. It's almost as if you're the one causing the breach thus being the offender in that scenario and I'd vouch for xenos melting / cheesing EVA to be punished.

What I offer is to remove slip as stated, but if Xenos appears to start abusing the removal just re-introduce it with the toggling methode, allowing to adjust.
Otherwise I'd still like to account for the GOOD JUDGEMENT AND GOOD WILL OF ALL XENO PLAYERS (However small it is (Now mostly playing xeno)) to avoid doing that.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

+1, once a marine ran to EVA to hide because he had no other escape. I followed him and slipped into deep space as the queen. That sucked pretty hard.
